If this does go on we will see some great talent here in Charlotte. Skinner, Faulk, Welsh, and Rask have all been assigned to the Checkers among other players on link below. The four I mentioned are the ones I would be most interested in seeing. As "neat" as it would be to see these guys play in the city I live this is by no means exciting. This blows actually, freaking lockout...

Well, 2 weeks lost. The big 4 just met (Betman, the Fehrs, etc) and little was accomplished. Not looking good at all.

I don't anticipate a start to the season until at least December, probably January though. Last season was the peak of US popularity since the end of the last lockout. They're really screwing themselves here.

supposedly a 50/50 deal on the table right now...but I'm not sure if it get's done or not. still talking about getting all 82 games in if they do agree...season to start November 2nd.

with all day Sunday football, Monday Night Football and Thursday Night Football....I don't really even miss the hockey

The only way they can have a full season now is if they make the playoff games 3 or 5 games instead of 7. Which I believe should be that way anyway. I also think the regular season is too long.
