How much time will Joe Adams see on offense?

*Sigh*

Perhaps I am blind, but I have seen NOTHING special from Adams.

next sunday about 4:35 hit the power button on your television, change the channel to FOX about.. that'll give our D enough time to get a 3 and out.. you'll tune in just in time to see him TAKE IT TO THE HOUSE, and that will be something very special and you will never again doubt the powers of Joe Adams.

You think you're not seeing anything special with Adams when it's really our STs as a whole that are just consistently awful every season. Hardly any return specialists will look special on this squad. That's why I want to see what he can do to help this offense. Otherwise, he's going to keep showing nothing and we're going to cut him because we think it's all his fault. This happens like every other season. We should start celebrating it or something.

Good point,

remember Larry Beavers and his record breaking return career in college? He came here and did nothing, but never went anywhere else either.

Until Adams loses the butter fingers, he will be lucky to even do PR. Exciting oh yeah. Consistent? Not yet. I am sure he will get some shots, on both offense and the return game. But they will be well chosen spots.

I just happen to believe his preseason showing has cost him precious opportunities in real games. My assertation remains. AE may still be on the team, because Adams was so inconsistent.

We just got rid of a 3rd rounder. Not sure you should hitch your wagon to a 4th. With questionable hands he is in an uphill battle to regain, if he ever had, Rivera trust.

Would love to see it. Exciting as all get out. I just believe he is not consistent enough to earn the trust from the coaches.

I will be exstatic to be proven wrong next week. Adams starts, show off and sets the tone as we toy with the bux. Until he proves otherwise. I will cringe, with anticipation mixed with a heavy dose of fear, every time the ball gets near him.

Oh look its you, the defend AE as a return specialist guy. I still really want to make that bet about AE being the "starter".

More an indictment on Adams than any AE homerism. AE can at least field a punt without it hitting the ground. Adams is more than a little shaky in this area. That is the only reason, the one true gripe, as in Adams has a flaw, he has butter fingers.

At least I am willing to put my opinions and thoughts out there. Hey, no worries, well other than those butter fingers, if Adams proves me wrong. I will still be a happy camper. You will probably fap to death if I turn out to be right, and AE fields the first punt of the season.

And why all this animosity over the first PR of the year? You so high up in Adams jock you would risk him losing us a possession? Or Zod forbid a game with those butter fingers?

I would rather Adams be consistent and win the PR job. That did not happen. At least in my eyes.

I am not advocating cutting Adams. Just bring him around slowly. Or until he can be consistent. Exciting football players that have butter fingers don't normally hang around. Just ask Goody.

Ok, rip me a new one. I am tired of the old one anyways.

Adams is our punt returner. He would have to lose the job at this point.

You seem to be a little too focused in 1 PR and 1 KO return by a rookie. It happens. That is what preseaon is for. But like I said, Adams will make mistakes....playmakers make mistakes. All the ones on our team do. As long as they hold up to benig playmakers....you take a little bad with it.

Hate to be wishy washy, but I have two trains of thought on this. One. He is a rookie. He was drafted primarily as a PR. It is fificult at best for rookie WR to see the field, let alone one that has other responsibilities. Also, let's face it, he needs some development.

Two. If there is a coaching staff that could make it happen, it is ours.

It is all on Adams. He can do three things to make it impossible for them to get rid of him. One, work his ass off. Two, learn. Three, improve damm near daily. Being better today than he was yesterday, and so on and so forth.

I am excited and giddy for the potential this guy brings. But I also know he is a rookie on a somewhat settled WR corp. He will be PR material for the most part. If he can earn WR minutes, we are the better team for it.
