Can't defend Cam no more

They showed this DURING the game, he has 1 game winning/tying drive in the 4th quarter.

But sure, if you are up Cams ass he has several.

He tied and took leads in the 4th of games last year. But if you're up our defense's ass they never gave up drives to blow it. (ex: see 1st Saints game, see 2nd Falcons game).

I think we will find that his shoulder was banged up--that is what happens when your $10 million dollar backfield can't run for 50 yards combined.

I wouldn't doubt it. Cam has had some innaccurate games but today was ugly. Another reason why I am so sick and tired of the college playbook. Cam won't always have the wheels. He can't survive as an NFL QB relying on his ability to run. A hurt throwing shoulder would explain why some of those passes were so ugly.

See the big picture people. Marty Hurney's incompetence surrounded Cam today. Garry Williams was TERRIBLE at RG. We have no depth at G. Stewart and Williams showed us all what 10% of the salary cap is worth when spent on running backs. Steve Smith, Stewart, Williams--the leaders of the offense--all had STOOPID mistakes that cost the team the win.

Marty's worst signing could be RIvera. I saw players running onto the field late, confusion at the snap, blown coverages, stupid play calling, etc. Rivera just sits there. Once, during a critical part of the game, he was working on a player's helmet. Should he not be concerned with the strategy?

Cam is not a mentally strong person. Leadership and intelligence is strengthened in QBs like Brees and Manning becuase they rely on them. Cam has always relied on his athleticism. Blame him if you want--I think we will find that his shoulder was banged up--that is what happens when your $10 million dollar backfield can't run for 50 yards combined.

Don't let the countless number of reporters who set out to determine if that were true, only to give reports strongly to the contrary, stop you from your little backhanded bullshit diatribe.

Some of you folks act like you get all of your talking points from the media.

Do you really pay attention to your team as a whole? It's not Cam. Mark my word. Your QB is the least of your issues. I've been saying it on this site since last season but yet you continue to sit there and over analyze every mistake; every bad throw; every ish about this kid. But you refuse to pay any real attention to the rest of your team or the mentality of your team.

Its easier to give up on Cameron when he plays bad than to stand behind him. Its not like he's done anything for us.

Defense scored more points than the offense did ROFL.

And he is not getting through his reads fast enough. Defense has no fear of our short passing game. The long passing plays are not going to open up when Cam won't take what the defense is giving him. Cover the long ball on the outsides. Who gives a crap about the short game. Cam is innaccurate throwing them when he even does decide to use it.

I also agree that the OC needs to get some designed quick passes mixed in.

well damn, no qb can make 4 or 5 reads in 1 second.yeah he missed on some check downs but i counted at least 4 or 5 dropped passes from RBs in check downs.the OC should have helped by calling quicker passes to the WRs and TEs were they wasnt the number 3 or 4 read in the progression.

You really do not know where I get my opinions, except, perhaps, the source of the opinion I just formed about you being a cyber penis.

The coaches simply rely on Cams current abilities heavily.

Why else would we have 90 million tied up in a backfield while Cam carries the load and is our leading rusher. They appear to have made little to no effort at all to make him a better quarterback and maximize his potential.

    • My projection. I think at WR its time to go with youth. This means Moore should be the odd man out. Horn can return both punts and kicks and Tremayne is a better WR than Moore. XL gets one more year to prove himself, although I could see a trade in the future which would mean Moore could stay. For OL, I would like us to bring back Brady if we can. The RBs, Trevor can return both punts and kicks too. With the uncertainty of Brooks and Dillon, its hard to choose either one. I think the team would like for Brooks to have a breakout season to clear any uncertainty that he deserves a spot. For now, I have them both even and on the team. DL looks solid as well as OLB. Watch out for the UDFA of Aaron Hall and Isaiah Smith at OLB. They look promising and could knock someone off the team. ILB is still the biggest weakness on the team. We need to upgrade that any means necessary. CB is strong and Im praying to all the Gods that Wheatley beats out Scott at FS.  OFFENSE: WR: Tetairoa McMillan - *Chris Brazzell II* - Brycen Tremayne TE: Tommy Tremble - James Mitchell LT: #Rasheed Walker# - *Monroe Freeling* LG: Damien Lewis C- #Luke Fortner# - *Sam Hecht* RG: Robert Hunt - #Saahdiq Charles# RT: Taylor Moton - #Stone Forsythe# TE: Ja`Tavion Sanders - Mitchell Evans WR: Xavier Legette - Jalen Coker - Jimmy Horn Jr. QB: Bryce Young - #Kenny Pickett# RB: Chuba Hubbard - Trevor Etienne - #AJ Dillon# - Jonathon Brooks DEFENSE: LE: Tershawn Wharton - Bobby Brown III  NT: *Lee Hunter* - Cam Jackson RE: Derrick Brown - LaBryan Ray LOLB: Nic Scourton - Patrick Jones II  LILB: Trevin Wallace - Bam Martin-Scott - *Jackson Kuwatch* RILB: #Devin Lloyd# - Claudin Cherrelus  ROLB: #Jaelen Phillips# - Princely Umanmielen LCB: Jaycee Horn - Akayleb Evans RCB: Mike Jackson - *Will Lee III* - Chau Smith-Wade SS: Tre`von Moehrig - Lathan Ransom FS:  Nick Scott - *Zakee Wheatley* - Demani Richardson  SPECIAL TEAMS: K/KO: Ryan Fitzgerald P/H: Sam Martin KR: Trevor Etienne - Jimmy Horn Jr. PR: Trevor Etienne - Jimmy Horn Jr. LS: J.J. • His contract is guaranteed.  Legette is just not where he needs to be mentally.  Not fully invested, it seems.
    • Literally like Hill. He's not QB1 material (now or ever), but if we can turn him into a H-back and use him like  Swiss army knife, that's his ticket to make the roster.  H-back/emergency QB.  I wonder how good his hands are?  If they are at least above average by NFL standards then we can line him up in the backfield, in the slot, split out wide and of course, in the Wildcat.
