Beason wants to stay in the middle

Luke Kuechly played well in the middle vs. Seattle with 11 tackles and 1 INT. Said MLB spot is more active than weakside.

Beason can want in one and poo in the other and see which one fills up first.

Based on their respective performances so far this year, Luke deserves it, Jon doesn't.

That said, I expect Rivera and McDermott will give in to Jon and send him back out there.

Good thing is they have a long break here to think about it. Clearly it is most beneficial to the team to have Luke in the middle and he is our future there. Sure Ron will make the right decision with this. It will be hard to tell Beason that Luke will be starting in the middle but it has to be done. It is a business and these decisions have to be made sometimes. You can't really care about player's feelings when it comes to these things.

Luke is a lot faster, better tackler, and better in coverage. That is why he needs to start in the middle for Dallas, with Beason at weakside and Davis and strongside with Anderson subbing in for those 2.

only way Beason should return to the middle is if Luke gets injured or we go to the 3-4 for some reason. Other than that Beason needs to prove he can tackle consistently.

They aren't. They are just saying what they would prefer but I promise you they would be whatever the need to, to help the team.

I said the moment we drafted Kuechly, we should put him in the middle. Taking a guy that high in the draft, I want to get the most out of him. Obviously, playing him in his natural spot is the best way to get the most out of him. Beason, you will just have to learn to play OLB, and enjoy it. Go watch some tape of Derrick Brooks, and learn something.
