when you lose, you're not happy. you're not content. you shouldn't be. when you're a competitor you want to have the burden to turn things around on the only shoulders you are totally confident in...yours.

things haven't been working like they should. guys who could be making a difference haven't been and a lot of it's been because the game plan hasn't called for them to be an active enough part of of nor has it been the best usage of their talents. i expect there to be some level of dissatisfaction.

i don't think, though, that it's the drama that it is getting made out to be.

If the players aren't happy with the play calling you can be certain the execution isn't there. And it seems like all the players are slowly becoming vocal about it. Chud is going to need to get back to what made us successful last year. I still believe that Shockey brought toughness that's lacking from this team and a very dependable target for cam that moved the chains

...if you're trying to get your offence going you dont hire two o-cooridinator's from the Browns

organization, especially since the owner wants to emulate the steelers. I must admit that I

was pumped on Chud at first but am disappointed as hell in the way the offence is going.

Ok, i'll give him an out by saying the oline sucks....

    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
