Jeez @ the replies. I bet the people replying to the periods are the same people who complain about the quality of the huddle going down.

I could see going for the pass on second down. If I remember correctly, Chicago loaded the box. I'm not sure a shot at the endzone was a wise choice, though. My choice would have been a short play action pass to the middle of the field, but we know you take what the defense gives you. The second pass was dumb. Even if you didn't pick up the first down on the run, the clock will run all the way down to the two minute warning. Does anyone think that extra 27 seconds wouldn't have come in handy? Had we run the clock down properly, the soft zone defense would have worked. (I'm keeping the Atlanta game in mind when I say the soft zone would have worked)

Coaching and a bit of stupidity by Cam Newton lost us this game. We don't have smart defensive players that know the same play when they see it, nor the coaches so Cam can never afford to give the ball away when we have a nice lead. Nobody ever blames him for his extremely low football IQ. He has to get better.

How in the fug is Steve Smith slipping and falling on Cam Newton? Just as some on this board want to absolve Came of any and all blame, others want to simply blame everything on him.

Smitty slipping was just poo for luck, which as Panthers fans, we should all be beyond accepting and at this point just be expecting it.

On the Smith td drop...Smitty was .01 sec late on the route or Cams' pass was .01 sec too soon. It should have been a touchdown, simple as that. I liked the call.
