Wow, Cam presser is on....

Any other QB in the league other than the 4 or 5 "elite" ones would struggle here as well.

The defense is garbage and the Oline is even worse.. If that's even possible.

Cam needs grow up in the sense that he seems to not be utilizing his full ability when things collapse around him as the game unfolds. He is, what, 24.. And yes he has immaturity.. Because he wants to be a winner and was used to winning before he got to Carolina.

He will need to work on his accuracy as well ( still too high a ball sometimes) and other issues... But Carolina is still lucky to have him and he will help do wonderful things here over the next decade if they can put the tools around him to do so. An aging wide reciever, a college o-line, a junior college defense and a horrible coaching staff are NOT those tools.. And he knows it.

Chud logic 101. Cam is Superman

You deem play calling and talent around Cam largely irrelevant.....thinking the one man show should find a answer in the slop.

Reality, Cam is far from Superman.....

...well then, why did we draft him... it wasn't beacause of his brains...

Bc he is absurdly talented....

That doesn't mean he can overcome being put in poor situations over and over and over...

A vet like Manning can overcome poor situations, like his last year in Indy. He had weak OL play and no run game. But that was the HOF vet version of Manning not the 2nd year version of Peyton.

2nd year Manning, had a 1500 yard RB.....you give help to young QBs. Even the talented ones.

I'm at the point where I hope we sit him just so I can laugh at half of the board when Derek Anderson mysteriously can't get it done either.

I think DA would succeed because they'd be forced to actually adjust their gameplan and take the read options out. He'd probably get the awesome playcalls Cam got last year.

Last time we saw DA the vet competed with Clausen for title of most pathetic QB in the NFL. Last time he was in Chud's non- read option offense he was benched for Brady Quinn.

solution to the problem is play calling that maximizes our talent and helps the OL and Cam.....

...Understood... .i've been Cams biggest proponent but i'm not liking what I see from him...hope he's learning and next year I'm expecting him to produce in every area of his game...

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
