USA Today article quoting Beason on Peppers

Recommended Posts

i'm sure that beason has told this to peppers before. still, exactly what needed to be said from just the right person.

"I know one thing, Pep is going to have a lot more freedom to let his God-given ability and his talent that he's fine-tuned over the years, to really showcase it," Beason said. "Pep is a freak, a special type of guy."

Beason, one of the few players to speak to Peppers this offseason, said he's spent the past month working out in Arizona and will stay there until the start of training camp.

Beason remains confident that Peppers will eventually return to the team that made him the second overall pick in the 2002 draft.

"I hope so. The way it's working out with the trades and all that stuff, it's getting late," Beason said. "So you can assume or hope that he is. He's said that if he is back, he's going to be ready to go."

Nice...

someone needs to tell these guys that nothing is changing.

Your right, if I remember correctly, Harris said, "This is kind of (similar) to the scheme we ran in Chicago when I was there, so I don't have that big of a learning curve."

Harris just "misremembered" last year's playbook... (we can thank Clemens for that word)

funny, another article talking about a changed defense.... (they have to just be saying that)

Why? How many player, who are actually on the field saying the defense has significantly changed have to come out and say it directly will get you over this "John Fox runs the defense so it won't change" BS? I got over that one a long time ago, so we'll see, let's just see...

My bad, left out the [/sarcasm] ;)

Mint, I think he is being sarcastic because of all the naysayers on that topic.

    • there is one common denominator in the 2003 & 2015 Carolina Panthers teams they both had ELITE top tier Qb play.  it would require a MVP type of season from Bryce Young to have the same type of success that Jake Delhomme had in  2003 & or Cam Newton in 2015 & lead this team to a SuperBowl is this going to happen or is there any reason to believe Bryce Young is capable of playing similar to Jake Delhomme in 2003 or Cam Newton in 2015 ? well no there is no absolutely NO reason whatsoever to believe that this is going to happen in 2026 ..just saying
    • I'd actually like to see Cherelus get a fair shot to win the job in camp. Wallace is decent in drop zone coverage, but he gets abused in the play action game and is often times out of position in the run game. It might just be me, but I swear every time I watch Wallace play, I see multiple plays a game were it looks like he's just trying to be blocked. Watching Cherelus last year he at least looked like he was trying to hit someone on every play. Wallace plays like a LB who doesn't trust what he sees and it makes him passive and cautious versus Cherelus who regardless of if his decision is right or wrong goes at it 100%.
    • Agreed.  Hasn’t happened to me either, but I feel very strongly about it.  That’s not just one of the worst things a woman could do to a man, it’s a power inherent to only women and is one of the worst things a HUMAN being can do to another.  A man can’t “hide” a pregnancy or maternity.  It’s impossible.  And that sucks for anyone that has to go through that. I always got a weird vibe off her and just found her very unlikeable.  Annoying even.  I’ve always been good at reading people and there was just something about her to me that was off-putting, somewhere under the surface.  And here we are…  she is despicable.
