Red flag went up for me when Canales publically passed on Russell Wilson. What better way to push Bryce than the SB veteran who put this coach on the map, has a comparative style of play, and believes he's still got it. He probably would have rejected having to fight for a starting role but the fact that Canales didn't even consider his guy tells me there was an order from up top to clear the runway for Young. -
Clearly Canales/Morgan experiment might be coming to an end. Not only Canales failed to establish the culture change he promised, he also struggles with play calling, game reading, and in game adjustments. The team always seem unprepared and play execution is terrible. Morgan, who promised us dawgs, got us pugs. He failed to bring correct talent in or identify gaps in squad. Panthers had a massive issue with run defense and pass rush last season, after spending a ton of money on free agents and draft, Panthers have massive issue with run defense and pass rush this season again. If the Panthers finish bottom of the league this season and have top 3 pick in NFL draft, I do not see how we can bring a rookie QB into a failing culture and expect him to be successful.
