better than forcing tax payers to foot the bill.

Most of the options involving tax payer or public funding are now put to a vote. Let the majority decide.

And I've been to the Georgia Dome several times and trust me, I've been in many dome stadiums that are absolute sh!tholes- the New Orleans Superdome being one- and I don't think the Georgia Dome is all that bad. Traffic and parking blows, but that's true of most stadiums built "in town."

i like that it's a proposed open air stadium. a throwback to the atlanta-fulton county stadium days would be awesome. as it is having half of the NFC south teams in domes blows.

It's a retractable roof stadium, technically not open-air. And I'd be willing to bet most retractable roof stadiums stayed closed more than they stay opened during football season.

    • That makes me wonder, how many starting tackles in the NFL and/or elite tackles have short arms? I feel like there’s probably lots of tackles that end up being drafted in later rounds because they had short arms or didn’t have the physical tools.
    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
