Bobcats End Up with Portlands Pick. Who Do You Want.

Me personally, I would double up on PF and hope one turns out to be good. This is a very weak draft.

Anthony Bennett and Tony Mitchell.

I would also accept Shabazz Muhammad and Tony Mitchell. As Shabazz may be the best player in the draft. We have MKG already but Shabazz is way more explosive. He is a bit of a ball hog though. Hes a Kobe Bryant type.

Also NBA greats Tim Hardway and Glen Robinson sons are in this draft.

The draft was weak two years ago and Cho decided that there wasnt anybody at Portlands pick (#19) worthy so he pulled off a trade. I'm kind of hoping he does the same thing again with this weak draft. I am pulling hard for Portland to lose so their pick falls into the #13-#16 range. If the draft was today I think that pick would be #20.

Portland hasn't been doing too well lately. If the season ended today, we would get the 14th pick in the draft (unless they pulled off the miracle and hit the top 3 in the lottery).

Portland's pick is top 12 protected. As of right now if they possess the 14th pick, we'll receive that pick. The only way we can get their pick is if it's 13 or lower.

if Austin from Baylor drops to 14, I'd take him. Otherwise, I'd probably go with

Plumlee.

At 14, I'm thinking we take a big and hope we get lucky. Of course, it can't be

any worse than what we have.

If we don't take a big with the first pick, Id love to have Austin or Rudy Gobert at 14. Im not in love with Plumlee.

If not a big at 14, id go with Tony Mitchell or Alex Poythress

    • So for now Coker, our 2nd year UDFA, is by default the most reliable WR on this team?! You serious, Clark? You know he is low key celebrating this. Until Tet takes a true NFL snap, Coker has the highest floor in the team as Tet is an unknown. I feel like Tet will be a dawg for us, but again, it’s still an unknown.  Knowing that Thielen was out may have influenced them keeping Moore. It’s going to be fun to see this play out.
    • See that's why so many convos here get into the weeds and contentious. Folks are more than eager to groan about a lack of offensive young talent then when we do have good young talent (two first round WR's and a young Jalen Coker) they say that talent isn't good enough. You expect top tier play from the moving parts within the offense at all times but you'll accept literally anything from the signal caller and call it progress. Doesn't make sense.
    • This is what rebuilding looks like. A 4th rounder and no salary? Smart GM.
