Quick Question

From what I have seen, items that were signed by Smith and sold by one of his approved vendors has a holographic seal on it documenting it is authentic and a letter of authenticity with it endorsed by him. Items which he has signed at an event or during training camp for example won't have the holographic emblem but might include a certificate of authenticity. The problem with certificates of authenticity is that some of them are legitimate and designate an authentic product while others were simply created on a printer and mean nothing. Anyone can make up a letter of authenticity. It is really whether or not the body doing the authenticity is legitimate or not.

Congrats. I have a number of things he signed. They don't have certificates of authenticity but I saw him sign them if front of me. I went on the Panthers cruise a few years back. When he was signing he was funny about people not taking his picture while he signed because he didn't want them to sell them and post the picture as proof he signed it. I won't ever sell them so it doesn't matter.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
