Byron Bell and Armond Smith AMA (Ask Me Anything) interview on Reddit

I looked and didn't see this posted yet, but Byron Bell and Armond Smith will be taking questions from fans on reddit nfl tomorrow some time around 5 PM eastern time.

If any of you guys are familiar with the format then you know it's pretty no-holds-barred, so you can literally ask them anything.

Anywaaays... here's a link to the reddit topic where it was announced:

Roger Goodell did one a while back and it was pretty hilarious. Though the dude ignored most of the questions and the ones he did answer he answered like he was running for president or something. But he did get rickroll'd without even realizing it. :D

^link for the conversation... not really much of anything was said, but meh here it is anyways.

Did you read Bourdain's from like two days ago?

Sh*t got real fast on that bitch.

To this day one of the best AMA I've seen was the dude who worked at a Chuck E Cheese in the Midwest.

The worst? Woody Harrelson.

Haha, nah... I just recently joined reddit and started checking up on the NFL stuff there. I happened to stumble across the Roger Goodell one by accident and I seen the Spice Adams one, I think I might have read one other.

I'll have to check those out though.

LMAO, that Rick Roll on Roger Goodell was straight Internet Gold though. Classic. What makes it even funnier is the fact it was done by Chris Kluwe, the punter for the Vikings... so the dude technicaly Rick Roll'd his boss.

What in the fug is Reddit? to this day I still don't know.

protip....don't start looking at it, it's addicting

a lot of the users in the Panthers section are not that smart though, so expect some stupid questions......wait a minute that's no different than here

I'd heard of it for a while and just now started checking it out a few weeks ago... it's just a place where people share news and junk from what I've seen, and the threads usually end up as a 'who can make the funniest/awesomest relevant comment' kinda thing. The general NFL section is a pretty good place for news going on around the league, and there's some pretty funny poo there. The Panthers section is kinda' barren (imagine that). Anyways, some Panthers are doing interviews for fans so I figured I'd post it in case any of you guys wanted to get in on it and ask them something.

I also think a lot of the popular .gifs and stuff that circulate the interwebs more often than not originate there.

But yeah, I guess that's Reddit in a nutshell from what I've gathered.

Yeah, that's every where though brother... I fully expect some cringe-worthy questions to come out in full force from other team fans. Cam's towel, etc.

Not trying to rain on your parade, but I highly advise you check it out ...

They both agreed that the media has it wrong and Cam doesn't always sit on the sidelines sulking, that he's constantly talking to his teammates.

Also they think Geoff Hangartner is one of the more underrated players.

Just a tidbit of what they talked about..

Not just any rickroll, it was a player rickrolling him, the punter of the vikings.

    • If we lose tomorrow we’d have to sweep the Bucs in order to get into the playoffs. With a loss tomorrow the Bucs would then hold the tie breaker if we finished tied If we can’t split with NO then we sure as hell not sweeping Tampa It’s win or go home tomorrow in my eyes  Biggest game since 2017 playoff game imo
    • Grok AI: No, there are no credible reports that the Carolina Hurricanes offered Jake Guentzel the same contract terms as Tampa Bay (7 years, $63 million total, $9 million AAV) before he signed with the Lightning. Reliable sources, including The Athletic, consistently reported that Carolina’s offer during negotiations was an eight-year deal worth $64 million ($8 million AAV). Guentzel did not accept it promptly, leading the Hurricanes to trade his negotiating rights to Tampa Bay on June 30, 2024, for a 2025 third-round pick. He then quickly signed the 7x$9M deal with the Lightning on July 1, 2024. Guentzel himself later reflected (in 2025 interviews) that staying in Carolina was his initial preference, but negotiations stalled and “didn’t work out,” with Tampa’s opportunity becoming a “no-brainer.” No reports from outlets like ESPN, NHL.com, or insiders (e.g., Elliotte Friedman, Pierre LeBrun, Frank Seravalli) indicate Carolina ever matched or offered the Lightning’s exact terms—total money, AAV, or length. The extra year was Carolina’s key advantage, but they reportedly stuck closer to $8M AAV and moved on when Guentzel explored options.
