Not even mad at Peters on that last one. That's on the play in front of him. They all got lazy and let him walk right in. Only so much the man can do. He stood on his head all night. He got the win. All that matters. Should have been a blowout, but we played like poo for at least half of the 3rd.

EDIT: Holy poo, didn't realize exactly how well Peters did. 40 shots against him, 37 saves. I'll take that all night, considering he didn't give up one until the 3rd and the last one came in garbage time with shitty play in front of him. Awesome job!

Buffalo really brought the house in the 3rd. Even though we dominated the game, it still felt like we escaped with the win.

We definitely got lazy in the last 10 minutes or so. Peters won this for us, because he faced a LOT of shots in the 3rd (faced 40 all game, and 18 of those came in the 3rd). Had we not gotten lazy, that's a 4-2 or even a 4-1 win. Gotta close out games the way you start them. Maybe legs just got tired, but they need to get it together. We play a good team and we are in overtime or going away with an L right now instead of a W.

Fun fact from tonight: as of right now, we have the second longest active win streak (4) behind Chicago (9). Hottest team in the Eastern Conference. I like that.

      Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.

      I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.

      Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
