Can we nail our first round pick for the third straight season?

Even though we have a different GM, are you guys confident we will bring in another franchise superstar like Cam/Luke with our first pick?

Cam and Luke are about the best two cornerstones to build your franchise around and we should feel absolutely blessed to have these two for the next 5-10 seasons. That being said, could we find another stud at receiver/defensive back/offensive linemen at 14 or are we due for a stinker?

You guys can complain about the direction of this franchise all you want, but with Newton, Kuechly, and the possibility of another young superstar, I genuinely look forward to the next decade of Panther football.

I think a key factor is the interview process, and finding guys we know want to be here for the long haul no matter what. Gotta bring in superstars that wont part ways when it comes time for a new contract. We've always been fairly good at this minus Peppers...

I have a gut feeling - that's all it is, probably just my desires influencing my gut - that Star will not be deemed completely 100% free of all possibly health problems for the rest of his life, but he will be cleared for football and his heart guesstimated to not be a significant risk. This will cause him to fall to us (few, if any, teams in the entire NFL need a DT as bad as we do so others decide not to bother with the chance and pick from a different need of equal or close value to DT for them), we take him, he turns out to be everything he's hyped to be, and we ace 1st round pick #3 in a row.

Other then Otah, Carolina has nailed the first round for the last decade or so.

Even Otah was great when he actually played. The Panthers haven't missed on a pick since 2000, when Tony Softli took over college scouting. Don Gregory replaced him in 2006, and he's still here.

Assuming Gettleman listens to his scouts as well as Hurney did, we shouldn't have to worry about our first pick.

And also consider Gettleman has a scouting background and he can have his own opinion of players. Hurney more or less had to rely on reports.

Although it will be hard to beat or match Hurney's success in the first round.

    • I read an article a few days ago that places like Seattle green bay and a few others are revoking tickets rights to holders that sell 100% of their tickets. That would do a lot of good league wide for bringing back some home field advantages. We aren't the only team who's stadiums get over run by visitors. It happens basically everywhere. That would go a long way to bringing ticket costs down
    • yeah, you can basically copy and paste my thoughts from this time last year.   We are building an O more suited for Jake Delhomme than Bryce Young.  Tmac and XL sound great for the downfield gunslinger  Give them opportunities to make plays.  From what I have seen, and the scouting stuff I have read.....TMac does not project as a get open quick WR.  He is going to have to work on getting off the line at this level, getting open, etc.  Which is all good.  This you go to think people will be studs out the gate or you are hater logic just ain't what I do.   Take my XL stance last year.  I lobbied hard for him.  When we drafted him I immediately told folks to pump their breaks on the wild expectations.    If XL legitimately turned into what I think he can be.....his best setup in the league would not be paired w/ a QB like Young.  if Bryce was going to be the dude, I would have lobbied for Ladd vs XL.  I was an XL guy.   And again, I would have gone Warren/Jeanty this draft.   I would have invested in small ball talent for him to be the PG for.
    • @TheBigKatare you going to Arizona? I'm thinking about making a road trip again. Haven't venture out since we got spanked in Miami a couple years ago
