Flynn to the Raiders

Seahawk front office is earning their pay! They land 2 of the top 10 free agents to improve their already incredible D. Now they've dumped 7+ million this season and 9+ million next off their cap by moving Flynn to the raiders. Those will be big savings come next season when we get some pretty big names hitting contract seasons.

Looks like the raiders will move Palmer to Arizona

Didn't they trade for Palmer for two 1st round picks? And they just traded him to Arizona after just 2 seasons. lol When you look at the numbers though, Palmer had a pretty good year last season. When will they learn the QB can't do it all by himself? Oh well the Raiders will always be the Raiders. The laughing stock of the NFL.

At least Marty Hurney didn't fug us as bad as the Raiders FO has. My god that Palmer trade looked horrible when it happened, now it looks abysmal. Seahawks are priming themselves to be a force to be reckoned with in the NFC for a good number of years

I mean Palmer had over 60% completion percentage, had 20 some touchdowns and a QB rating of 85. Yea the Palmer trade was still bad considering what they gave up, but they just made it worse for getting rid of him. They should be looking into more troublesome areas like offensive line, which has been a problem of theres for almost a decade. Palmer was good enough to at least get them a winning record if they knew how to fix their bigger problems.

Flynn, to this point, is still one of those guys who made a reputation off of one great game performance and has yet to live up to it since.

I don't really know if Oakland is the place where you wanna go to try and rebuild your rep.

I think he just wants to be a starting QB- nothing about rebuilding rep

I totally agree Mr. Scot. Many Seahawk fans, myself included were happy to see Flynn come to Seattle a year ago. Myself, because I wasn't a big fan of T Jackson...but far too many fans thought he was going to be the next big thing. In my opinion, maybe he might be, but he's really just a rookie QB with more sideline experience! It will be interesting to see if he starts in Oakland and how he makes out, but I've been thinking we should have dropped him for a long time. Pretty big price tag to have on the sidelines carrying the clipboard.

    • I like what Freeling brings to the table all around. If he is willing to put in the work he has an opportunity to be one of the better Tackles in the league down the line. Hunter Brazzell and Hecht are all premium additions but development from our staff are the key to unlocking them. Hopefully Lee and Wheatley will provide much needed additional depth to our secondary. Beyond that it's important not to get too caught up in draft grades. Many drafts over the years that turned out to be really good were not fawned over with praise. While some that were ended up being historical duds. Panthers fans ought to know this as well as anyone. In conclusion...
    • Maybe a bit of a homer take but I can't give us a grade lower than A.   Freeling was arguably the best LT prospect in the draft.  His athletic ability is off the chart and at 6'7" that can move.  It was a no brainer pick.   Hunter's key word is Violence. Putting him next to Brown should scare an offensive coordinator. These two give Scourton and Phillips plenty of chances to get one on one opportunities. Brazzell, another tall receiver with sprinter speed.  Our WR room is filled with tall talented WR.  Brazzell is going to give us a WR that can take to roof off the defense.  Basically Jimmy Horn with size. W. Lee III has a nickname of the Blanket. (heard this on the Beleav podcast with J. Stewart)  What a great name.  A great value in the 5th round. Hecht A strong, fast and extremely smart center. Many had him listed as the best center in the draft.  He's most likely a starter sooner than later. Wheatley A good safety in round 5.  Someone who could see playing time.   Kuwatch  I love this pick.  At minimum he will be a key piece on special teams and with some good coaching he'll see some packages where he'll play.  His down piece is he doesn't stay up in the running game.  Good coaching will fix this.  He reminds me a bit of A.J. Klein.   All these picks were great value.  I believe everyone of them were graded higher than the pick we took them.   Dan Morgan is IMO doing a great job turning this team into a good team with great depth.
