Carolina Receives: Conditional Draft Pick

Pittsburgh Receives: Jussi Jokinen

Note: Carolina has to eat some of Jokinen's salary (most likely this years salary, the Pens however will have to pay his salary for next season or buy him out).

Draft Pick Condition: If Jokinen plays in 25% of Pittsburgh's playoff games and the Penguins reach the Stanley Cup Finals, the Canes will receive a 7th round pick. If Jokinen plays in 50% of Pittsburgh's playoff games and the Penguins win the Stanley Cup; the Canes will receive a 6th round pick. If neither of these things happen, the Canes will not receive the draft pick.

Doubt the defense changes much over the next two years (including this one), we are semi cash strapped. I believe we will have to sign roughly five guys with around nine million dollars to fill out a roster.
