Should we draft 2 DT?

That kind of helps make my point. If 3 of the DTs are gone before we even make a pick you still want to take a shot at what's left? Really? I'm gonna take te 4th best DT instead of the best WR? Seems legit.

If the 4th best DT is considered a better prospect then yes.

My concern is that it seems like the quick, athletic DTs that "struggle against the run" are the types of DTs that tend to bust. Teams fall in love with their athleticism and upside and all they think about is how disruptive they could potentially be at the next level without considering how many of those types of players don't work out at the NFL level.

This draft is chock full of that exactly type of DT.

I agree with you totally. I'm leery of the DTs like Floyd, Richardson and Short too. I think Richardson's motor could help him overcome that perceived problem, but he's far from my first choice. I'm much more on board with guys like Star, Hankins, S. Williams, J. Williams.

But I'm not looking into th future. I don't care it they're in 1yr deals. I'm looking at now, and I believe we're better there now than last year.

We are rebuilding from the Hurney disaster. If your not looking to the future your going to be disappointed.

    • I’m old enough to remember when I wanted to draft Njoku We brought back Mitchell and officially kept Tremble. Mitchell Evans isn’t going anywhere. Sanders who knows, he was awful last year I fully agree we need a better TE. This room is awful Njoku would be a massive help in the red zone. However it really seems like Dan and the FO prefer to go young on offense
    • You’re underselling Loveland imo. He’s so damn good. You can line him out wide and count on him to win 1 v 1. I don’t see that from Sadiq. Loveland is going to go over 1000 yards next season I’m not overly asking for a WR3. It’s just one of the few directions Morgan could go in round 1.  Let’s say Thieneman, Fano and Cooper are all on the board it’s a tough decision. I just don’t see how this team would take Sadiq over some of those guys given the way they run their offense. Our tight end room is easily bottom of the league so I can definitely see why someone would want a tight end though. At one point during the season I was on the Sadiq train as well. I just don’t think value wise for us specifically it makes sense given our team as a whole As far as tight ends go in this draft I really like Max Klare. Very smooth mover
    • Some of you need some serious help with the way 9 lives rent free in your heads I know for a fact, Dan loves Bryce. Bryce is his guy. This offense is very young and they’re asking Bryce to do a lot. With Idzik taking over playcalling duties it’s a move that is another step in the process of Bryce taking control of the offense. 24 years old. This youth movement on offense and putting more on 9’s shoulders is going to pay off in the long run
