Revis To Bucs, And Why We Should Rejoice

To play devil's advocate to my earlier post, I doubt Revis plays for 6 years under that deal. He'll most likely play one year to prove he's still a monster and then start up with the demands for a new/better one.

Yea lol. And if you really think about it, now it makes it much more possible for us to take Tavon or another receiver high in the draft. We'll need a capable receiver like Tavon in the slot when 89 is covered one on one by Revis and no one else to throw to.

im 99.9% certain Austin will be our pick if hes there. Do the Jets have need at WR? i think they will pass on Austin considering Stephen Hill showed promise and he is just as fast as Austin but about 6 inches taller.

Better to look how Belichick does it. Fug the prima donna receiver. Kill them at their weakest position using tight ends, the slot and a mix of RBs.

Just because the Bucs make a move doesn't mean we have to one up the opposite position.

There's a reason the Pats put 35 on the board every week.

The Jets have need at receiver, but I dont think Austin is their guy. If they need one badly, I see a Patterson, Hunter, Keenan or Hopkins.

Good say Razyor.

If Verge's post is true that he has a good source telling him we'll be taking Tavon or Vaccaro, I'd believe it'll be Tavon. NYJ needs safety help and at 13, they could possibly take my man Vaccaro right before us. If Tavon is there, he could be ours. We def need another legit receiver vs TB, bc as much as I'd like to stay positive I can't believe that 89 will have good games vs a 70-80% healthy Revis. TB has a damn good secondary on paper.

i would love austin, but there's quite a few wideouts I'd be happy with in either the first or second.

the main thing is that we don't delude ourselves into thinking that things are just fine with the WR corps. we've upgraded the bottom of the WR depth chart, but we still don't have that true compliment on the other side who can take the heat off smitty.

Yup. We have one no.1 WR, no no.2, and and seven no.3 WR (Lafail, Gettis, Hixon , Ginn, Adams, Pilares, AE) on the team right now. WR is a huge need as much as Safety and DT. We need to find a way to address those three positions and even a fourth at RG before the season starts.

They had a strong DL. Fans keep forgetting that. However, now that they've lost Miller and Bennett, we run it right down the middle by force.

It's easier said than done. Till I see it, I'll believe it. I believe it's bc of Chico. He's not utilizing the pieces we have here correctly. Foxy could run a damn Nick Goings but we can't with Cam, Stew and Dwill.

Yes, yes it does. Revis WILL be on Smitty. We had a problem of guys not getting open last season. If you take Smitty out of the equation (even if its 50% of the time), it only exacerbates the problem. A slot man would help out in a lot of ways. So would another TE.

Are the Jets not likely to draft a WR with one of their first rounders?

Id say they'll address that position in the 2nd rd. it's a deep receiver class. Still able to get quality receiver in the 2nd. I think teng Jets are going pass rusher (Jarvis/Mingo etc) and "Kenny Vaccaro" in the first unless Star falls to them. Then, it'll be Star and Vaccaro imo.

Agree.

I would hate to see the game being put on LaFail's or Hixon hands to go and win it for us.

    • This is a great episode I am soo excited for this season 😀
    • Dennis Rodman’s son lands Summer League shot with the Hornets   The Charlotte Hornets are coming off a promising 2025 NBA Draft class and will enter Summer League with no shortage of new faces looking to make an impression. But the most interesting addition didn’t come from the draft board. Instead, it’s DJ Rodman — the 24-year-old son of Hall of Famer and five-time NBA champion Dennis Rodman — who’s bringing some extra attention to the Hornets’ Summer League roster. Rodman played four years at Washington State before making the move to USC for his final season.  He wasn’t exactly lighting it up with the Trojans, putting up about 6 points, four boards, and an assist each game. But he did shoot well — hitting around 41% from the field and draining 36% of his three-pointers.  Standing 6-foot-6, he’s got the size to play on the wing and offers some versatility, which could be just what the Hornets are looking for as they try to fill out their roster. The Hornets’ Summer League squad already has plenty of fresh faces with this year’s draft picks and young guys fighting for a role. But Rodman’s last name alone is enough to turn heads, and now he’ll get his shot to prove he belongs once the games tip off in Vegas. Charlotte’s Summer League team is already drawing interest with recent draft picks and young players hoping to crack the rotation. But Rodman’s last name — and his potential to bring energy and toughness — adds another layer of intrigue. What Rodman lacks in college stats, he makes up for with hustle and competitiveness — traits his dad was known for throughout his Hall of Fame career. If he can bring that same energy and show growth in Summer League, he could carve out a role and surprise some people. Though the odds are against him making the Hornets’ final roster, there’s no denying the spotlight that comes with the Rodman name. The Hornets kick off Summer League next week in Las Vegas.   Dennis Rodman’s son lands Summer League shot with the Hornets
    • At this point, I only care what he does in 2025.
