Looks like to me you line the cup with bacon, pack with meat and top with potatoes. I'm just wondering how to get rid of all the grease. Drill holes in the muffin tin to drain maybe?

 

No way to.  If you did that the layer of grease would be too thin in the pan below and would burn before the meat was cooked.

 

Too greasy for me, but to each his own.

Looking at the pics I'd guess you bake the muffin tin with the bacon and the meat first, then remove them and place on a baking sheet.  Top with mashed taters, and bake again to get the taters crispy. That would get rid of a good amount of grease I think. 

 

I'm determined to make these soon.
