Vegas Future Wins Odds

While 4 winning seasons is completely unacceptable, it's not like it's been THAT long since we've had some success.  2008 was a great year for the Panthers (until the playoffs).  We've also been to three NFC Championship games and a Super Bowl.  I'm sure we could list many teams who haven't had that kind of "success" over the same period and we can definitely name several teams who haven't been lucky to make a Super Bowl and have been playing a lot longer than us.  Point being...for you to say you're going to pack it in if we don't start turning it around is extremely weak.  Your fanhood is in question.

for a team who typically gets a late start and relies on a late season surge for any hint of respectability....it sucks that the toughest part of the schedule is the toughest.

so what....5-6 wins?

i dunno. they have to get started winning early one way or the other. they have to turn it around and quit making excuses for slow starts and actually start hot. if they don't, they're toast.

duh

I do, however, agree completely with this.  I keep saying how important Seattle Week 1, at home, is going to be.

carolina is getting the amount of confidence they've earned.

anyone upset at having the bucs projected to win more games have rivera & co. to thank for us getting swept by them.

sweeping the saints mean very little because they were without payton. having him back pretty much ensures a winning season.

atlanta heading into the playoffs how many years in a row now and more wins than anyone pretty much ensures the liklihood that they will have at least 10 wins.

meanwhile we're just happy with maybe being one game better and keeping things the same because it is, after all, forward progress, even if it doesn't result in a winning season.

Atl really needs an injury bug to hit, wtf we get it every year since 2003

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
