New Uniforms...

I'm probably one of the few that really like them, I never liked the shoulder patch logo's or the squares around the base. Thought they made the sweater look cluttered and fugly.

If you don't like it, you can give some blame of this to Reebok and their templates they gave out to NHL teams. They told teams not to stray far from the templates and now you've got a ton of sweaters with older classic looks with striping on the sleeves and base.  That was coming out of the lockout and most teams have followed suit with the classic striping look.

If they kept the alternate logo on the shoulders, had black and silver outline on the white stripes on the home uniform, silver stripes between the black and red stripes on the away uniform,  had the warning squares on the outside of the collar (who was the moron who suggested on the inside anyway!), put some silver, white and black stripes on both pants on the side or around the bottom, then it would've looked way better.

Even then, I'm still not sure there would be enough black nor creative enough. All they did was take away everything and added some white stripes and lace for the home jersey and called it a day.

I think they might be making changes to the Alts after this upcoming season as well.

I think the middle strip on the Home could have been changed to black to give the sweater some more definition, but that's about it.

I like them both and will definitely be picking up the away in September, I'll have to wait a bit to get the home though.

KillerKat just described the three things I always hated about the old jersey.

Piping, Shoulder patch logo's and the squares.

What don't you like about it? It's a very classic look, that's very clean.

Classic and clean doesn't have to look as boring as that thing does.  I'm really tired of teams from the 90s doing away with unique designs and going to these boring solid color with stripes designs.

    • We were bad for years before Bryce Young and it wasn’t like this. I didn’t like the Rhule hire, but I didn’t drag the board down every chance I got. I didn’t like letting Cam go and bringing in Teddy, but I didn’t make it my mission in life to make sure everybody who disagreed with me was berated into submission.
    • it's pretty simple IMO.  The Tepper Panthers are the most unsuccessful professional sports team in all of sports.  The problem isn't the posters here have changed ( I still content people falsely romanticize the old days).  The product dictates the atmosphere more than anything.  In reality, the daily convos about THE worst team in all of pro sports on a fanatics site....is going to feature harsh and critical convo.  Only one entity can actually change that.  It's the Carolina Panthers football team.  if you are the most unsuccessful professional sports teams (Tepper's Panthers are that).....and a place like this isn't filled with very critical thoughts? Well, you probably don't actually have a real fanbase IMO.
    • Yes message boards will always include that sort of stuff… However, this place has been a cess pool since the team took Bryce Young over CJ Stroud. It becomes a problem when it is accepted and promoted, which it has been here (even by at least one mod). Many posters sole purpose on this board is to try to dunk on others for having different opinions. We just had one write a novella on how talking about Bryce Young’s game winning drives “needs to stop”…after a win. They don’t want real conversation. It “needs to stop”. There are many posters here who literally only show up after losses to dead thread and try to dunk on others about the QB (MRenshaw is an easy example). I really don’t see much of that happening the other way around. There’s too many people that would rather the team be bad so they can feel justified for constant doom and gloom and negative opinions. It’s been pointed out by many over the past couple years. This just isn’t a place to have football discussions anymore because of the constant hyperbole. If you don’t subscribe to “Bryce Young is the worst QB ever who can’t throw the ball further than 5 yards and is the reason why we lose any game we lose and doesn’t help in any game we win”, then you are labeled a Bryce Young Stan.
