Do we get any further salary cap relief come June 1?

hardy's agent is drew rosenhaus. it's fair to say that rosenhaus is looking to get paid and so are his clients. you wouldn't hire rosenhaus unless you were looking for the payout.

hurney never had any problems with rosenhaus, but that was because he negotiation tactics revolved around his inability to say no.getts probably won't be so loose. I'm hoping that hardy is honest when he talks about how unimportant the money is, but you hire agents to take care of all that stuff for you so you don't have to worry about it. you hire rosenhaus when you want an annoying rabid pitbull to get your money for you. if rosenhaus sees a chance to get paid a poo ton of money, he's going to go after it....and that's what he has in hardy.

Greg Olsen is probably the only recent Rosenhaus client here that hasn't been overpaid.

Beason - check

Big Money - check

Mare - check

lol....looks like he also represented Dwayne Jarrett

It's funny how the people that argue we are fine at WR because Lafell is "a good #2" never bring up the fact that he's in a contract year too. It's going to be interesting to see how much he's paid.

Person keeps saying he thinks they won't re-sign LaFell, really not sure why.

Incorrect sir. Rookies have been signed. So the 8.46 dropped down, to roughly, 3.2 million. Add June 1st you'd be back to 7-8 million. It's a rough estimation.

According to this https://www.nflplayers.com/reports/RunPublicReport.aspx?report=top51

we are almost 7 million under the cap now, after signing the rookies.  After Anderson's June 1st cap hit comes off we should be over $10 million under the cap for 2013.

^^^ on top of that, when we cut down to 53 if we haven't added any FA's we'll be around $12M to roll over to next year (we have ~$9M in dead cap to chew on in 2014) not to mention Hardy, LaFell and Cam contracts to consider

A lot of big numbers guys will be addressed though next year....

Several of the Hurney "core" guys likely are gone then.

Gross took a pay cut. I do not know the circumstances, but how would he feel if we sat on $10 million?

I would think you keep some as emergency money. For example, if Smith, Kalil, etc break their leg in camp.

Gross IMO is retiring. He knew he wasn't seeing that money.
