Cam wants the "C" per Person

Cam seems to be maturing according to reports. He wants to earn the captain tag according to Joe "People" Person (lol).  He may have to wait his turn which may not come for a while because of Gross and Smitty in front of him.

 

Just the fact that he is walking like a captain and quacking like a captain this offseason bodes well for the future. He seems to be "getting it".  Just another reason for optimism. Nice to have happy thoughts, right?

I want the "C" twice this weekend.  Or the "P"...you can call it what you want.

 

 

In closing, isn't the "C" per person about 50%?  Are we talking population or sample?

The team has a lot of guys who could be voted Captain. If it takes Cam a couple more years it's not a big deal.

Gross and Smitty start the season as Captains

After 6-8 games when we see a new Cam on the sidelines and is becoming the player we all know he can be, one of them, likely Gross but it would be cool to see his WR do it, will give him the Captain's patch to finish the season

I could also very well see Beason giving it to Kuechly this year, his way of saying to him that it's his defense now, green dot and captain go along with that role.

I think leading the NFL in tackles after not even starting the first four games of the season earns you the patch when you're the type of player and leader that Kuechly already is on top of that

There are no less than 7 threads on the front page about Newton. Luke will be more important to determining our success this season than Newton. Defense will be more important than offense.

 

Who cares what Cam and the offense is doing. They won't determine wins and loses next year.

 

I don't understand how our front office can spend the entire off-season and resources in defense...retain our defensive Head Coach...lose our offensive coordinator...make no upgrades to Cam's weapons on the Outside...

 

And media and fans alike spend countless hours on what Cam Newton is doing.

 

Who cares. Cam and Shula should be focused on how to stay out of the way of our talented defense.

If we go into another season with only one unit holding up their end of things, I'm not sure we'll be going anywhere.

Well, sometime you don't GET WHAT YOU WANT!!! HE doesn't deserve it right now. Besides this could be Gross last season with us so if it is he should go out a Captain. Got to see more maturity this season.

I'd leave the question of whether he's deserving or not to his teammates.  They know a bit more than we do.

 

I think most would agree he wouldn't get it over Gross or Smitty.  Whether or not he deserves it on his own merit or not is a separate question.
