Fact; He had poo teammates.

 

Fact: He carried Cleveland EVERY season even as a rookie.

 

FACT: He carried his team to the finals and he was a disaster against the Spurs.

 

FACT: Didn't make it back to the finals again and was repeatedly knocked out even though he had some great individual performances and some terrible games(mostly down the stretch)

 

 

Please enlighten me on the excuses.

I hate it when people can only revert to rings as only differentiator between top players. Rings are a part of the resume, but rings isn't the only way to determine greatness.

I think MJ was better than Russell but Russell had like 4 or 5 more championships. I think Wilt is better than Kareem but Kareem has more titles.

I think Barkley was better than Worthy, etc etc etc

So far rings n age wise.... Bron = Jordan

Just let his career freakin play out!

Bill Russell also only played the same 9 teams and for a guy who was dominant, size wise and athletic ability, shot sub 50% for his career from the field!!

And another thing I don't get... How can a fan hate/dislike/not appreciate Lebron, but be a Kobe fan? The thing that I like about Lebron is that he doesn't seem like a complete asshole despite being possibly the biggest superstar in the NBA. Kobe is an asshole. So when the magnifying glass gets put on Lebron, I want to pull for him because he's not comfortable asserting himself and alienating teammates and opponents like MJ or Kobe did. It's not natural for him, like it was for Kobe and MJ. He has all-world skill, but he seems to have an everyman's demeanor at times... Yet, somehow he always gets painted as a cocky, brash, snobbish primadonna. For those that feel that way, I'm fairly convinced they don't watch basketball or follow players AT ALL.

Remember when Kobe was about to sign with the clippers because he thought his teammates sucked and the FO wasn't helping him enough?

He's a hero for doing that and staying in LA, but LeBron is a fraud for actually going through with it (and taking less money because he wanted to win titles while still being the best player). Or something.

Didn't Kobe demand a trade a few years ago but would only wave his no trade clause if it was a team he deemed acceptable but a deal couldn't get done SI he stayed? Or maybe I am making that up but I seem to recall something like that happening.
