I was driving down 421 yesterday going between waypoints in a differential GPS i'm learning to use for site surveys this summer and I got nail by NCSHP, 83 in a 65. Shitty timing (what tickets aren't) and my court date is before I return from Peru.

anyone know anyone?

You should be receiving about 2 dozen letters in the next 48 hours from lawyers in that area.

You could pick any of them and be fine.....they will plead it down to improper equipment.  No points but you pay the same fine.

Lawyer should cost you about $100...plus the fine.

anyone know where Randolph County is would have been a better question!!!

sorry...but you are guilty...just pay the damn fine.  Nice of you to blame your GPS stuff though!  Pay attention to the signs.

that's my way of saying good luck

down here below the icebergs we pay lawyers to represent us and tell the judge our speedometers weren't working and get off without getting points added to our licenses and raising our insurance rates. it's basically a huge racket

whys that?

You can only get the speed reduced. Either way you are getting points on your insurance.

Last one I got three years ago the cop had no radar and said I was doing 60+ in a 35. Which I wasn't. He wrote it for 50 in a 35. I went to the courthouse myself and spoke to the assistant DA and got it reduced to 40 in a 35.

I don't think you've seen what a true racket is until you experience it here lol.

    • He has a heftier contract than you would think. I think the issue is that the Texans will want likely more than he is worth. They are in no great need of trading him.  I am fine with Mills as a bridge attempt, no issue with that. I just don't want to be seeing top 4 round draft picks headed out the door, even considering our lack of ability to capitalize on them.
    • You're gonna mess around and hurt someones feelings
    • He’s set financially for life barring complete fiscal lunacy. He has $12.3 million guaranteed. Think about that. Twelve million three hundred thousand dollars, he’ll be 28 years old when his contract is up and he’s completely forgotten about if he never plays another down in the NFL if he so chooses. Say after taxes he ‘only’ brings home $6M (fire your accountant territory) and parks $4M in a run of the mill mutual fund… good God… What I’m getting at, IF homie ain’t feeling the NFL, he has 12,300,000 reasons to take the fewest NFL edition ass kickings as possible while waiting out his very wealthy non-football future.  Obviously completely talking out of my a$$ with this… but if you hated contact, didn’t want to live with a completely wrecked body for the rest of your life and you know you’re set financially… what path would you take, assuming you’re cool with being a quitter (not calling him a quitter, I’m just playing out a scenario)? Why do so many first rounders bust? Where was he before his one year wonder if he was such a stud?  Everybody likes the dude on a personal level. How could you not? …. but I like seeing a winning product even more. He doesn’t play like his head is in the game. The Why is where the speculation lies and helps to clarify if his issues are ‘fixable’ or not.
