Bridgestone e6 golf ball

I normally play Pro V1, but a customer gave me a sleeve of the Bridgestone e6's and I've gotta tell you, they were awesome. I had to club down because of the extra distance and they really took a lot of the "hacker spin" off my tee shots. I had to adjust my aim to compensate for the straighter ball flight. I just bought a dozen for the tourney I'm playing in tomorrow. $26 at Dicks $21 on Golfsmith.

Ever try the e5 or e7?

I played in a tourney Sunday and a guy gave me a sleeve of e7's for giving them my email at the club... I have not hit them yet.

When I bought the e6's back in May I read the packaging and the e6 seemed like the ones for my game.  So far so good...

I am not a golf ball snob, but there are certain kinds I prefer...

That's why I bought them, seemed like the right fit when reading the package. When I played the sleeve my customer gave me I wasn't aware there was e5 and e7 option.

Where you playing?

The tourney we played Sunday was a TX scramble at Cape Fear National...  pick best drive and everyone plays their own ball in and count the two best scores per hole.

We shot 144, which is averaged to par-par, which I thought was pretty good for conditions... it was wet as hell and rained off and on the whole round.

Some team shot 120.  I can't believe that... some creative accounting going on there imo.

Tega Cay. It's the annual Red, White, & Blue tourney. As a team (foursome) you have to pick 6 holes to play from the red tees, 6 from white, and 6 from blue. Not sure of the format this year. Last year was best ball.

I've played the e6 and I don't remember anything special about it, but I'll try it again after this glowing review.

If you don't mind the extra $$ the Bridgestine B-330RX is a badass ball. It's the same price as the proV1 but is engineered for amateur swing speeds. My sorry hacker self can even spin 'em back on the greens.

I might have to try the B-330RX. The reason I posted this thread is because I would have never given Bridgestone a second look. That was some misguided thinking. I'm open to trying their balls now.

    • Really? Wow. Sorry. Got my timeline messed up. I remember someone claiming to be Graham’s mom on the old Charlotte.com board so I guess it was a long time ago that he was here. I guess I thought he was after Kasay.
    • Nick Scott has gotten his share of Huddle hate, but I came across this SI article by Zach Roberts when I was researching recently released Quandre Diggs, speculated to be a better option  (https://lastwordonsports.com/nfl/2025/11/07/breaking-titans-cut-former-three-time-pro-bowler-quandre-diggs-4-destinations-ranked/3/), but getting back to Nick Scott... Now to be fair, the observation on Scott was before the Packers game, but the stats couldn't have changed that much, and may have gotten better.   "At some point during virtually every Carolina Panthers game, you have probably found yourself grumbling about Nick Scott. The much-maligned safety has seemingly been out of position a lot or has failed to make a play. The eye test has often let him down. "But that's why stats are so helpful. Sometimes, the eye test, especially for fans, is unreliable. On occasion, advanced metrics help make sense of things and lend more clarity. In the case of Scott, they make him look like a much better safety than any of us would've guessed. "In coverage, Scott has given up just 15 yards and an average of five yards per catch. That's the lowest among safeties, leading superstars like Julian Love, Talanoa Hafunga, Quandre Diggs, Kerby Joseph, Kyle Hamilton, and Minkah Fitzpatrick. "In FI%, the safety leads all his counterparts once again at 40%. Brian Branch, Camren Kinchens, and Xavier McKinney are some notable names he leads. He's been pretty excellent in pass coverage, which is crucial for the Panthers." For those wondering, "FI" means forced incompletions. Now I'm way past trying to figure out why X links aren't embedding for me like they used to, but here you go: https://x.com/dacornerman/status/1981363757608513632?t=rx_5iLjp8_y5huNcg_y1nA&s=19   Suffice it to say that Scott may not be as bad as some have led on.    https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/onsi/news/much-maligned-panthers-db-way-better-than-think
    • Nah it was Graham. I remember watching it live.
