Bobcats Expressing Interest In Anthony Morrow

Recommended Posts

Alex Kennedy: Grizzlies, Warriors, Bobcats are latest teams to express interest in Anthony Morrow. Lakers, Spurs, Suns, Rockets, Knicks reached out too. Twitter @AlexKennedyNBA

The Bobcats have an excellent chance at landing Morrow due to the fact that Morrow is a local player. Morrow was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina and went school at Charlotte Latin.

Morrow would be the third shooting guard on the roster until (when/if) Ben Gordon is moved.

Morrow had an uneventful year last year as he struggled to crack the line-ups of the Hawks and Mavericks, averaging only 4 points; this year Morrow will look to get back on track.

Morrow's best season came while he was with the Nets (2010-11) when he averaged 13.2 ppg, 3.0 rpg, and 1.2 apg.

Morrow would be a great fit if we lose Hendo. I might even let Hendo walk bc Morrow should be a lot cheaper (4-5mil).

C-Chuck you straight trippy mane.

Morrow barely played last year, he didn't get any playing time for Atlanta/Dallas. No way he gets 4-5 mil. Morrow is a vet min. type player. If we pay him 4-5 mil we would be overpaying.

    • Many layers my frend- Panthers had a draft recently. They picked 4 defense players. Each player picked 11, 22, 33, 55 as their number. For some players that number match the round or pre-draft round rank, example- Prince was a 3rd rounder and choose 33. Nic was a 1st rounder on some mock drafts and Dan Morgan said they had him as a 1st, he picked 11. Cam Jackson recently switched his number to 55, same as draft and has been telling Dave he wants to be special over and over.  The 44 was to add GOAT feels, thoughts, and more intrigue to this rookie phenomenon. X files was cause it was a great TV show and maybe it was playing when this theory came together.......   I hope this helps!
    • The best things Purdy has are certainly important tools for any QB. His accuracy his timing his decision making etc. I feel like he is a high end Teddy Bridgewater. You can compete and win in the regular season with this especially in a weakened NFC but where his limitations come into focus is when you are trying to contend for a Super Bowl you are going against elite and in some instances generational QB's like Mahomes. And when the time has come for him to go up against Mahomes he simply can't get it done. Now certainly he is not alone in that regard and people will point to another highly regarded QB such as Josh Allen who also cannot get by Mahomes. But the difference I see is Allen is not IMO at a phsyical disadvantage in that matchup whereas Purdy is. And that is with what had been to this point a comically stacked roster around Purdy and let's be clear we cannot understate that regardless of which side of the fence we land on in this debate. Purdy has had a top 5 roster and a top 5 coach. And the last time they went to the Super Bowl they leaned on McCaffrey extremely heavily. Now with what they are having to pay him and divert limited resources elsewhere they face a steep climb to get back to the Super Bowl let alone actually win it.
    • Lonzo mentioned Melo going to the Clippers, but he also said we would draft Dylan Harper and he isn't making it to 4.
