supplemental draft...Ross not taken

Captain Morgan

Recommended Posts

should we pick him up?

The NFL’s Supplemental Draft came and went Thursday without a pick being made, the first time that’s occurred since 2008. There were six players eligible this year: WRs O.J. Ross and Dewayne Peace; defensive linemen James Boyd, Nate Holloway and Toby Jackson; and defensive back Damond Smith.

The wide receivers — and especially Ross — were believed to have the best shot at enticing a team to surrender a 2014 draft pick for them. Both should find their way into NFL training camps later this month.

I only say.  It couldn't hurt.  These guys are way behind the eight ball.  They are going to have to come in and learn and show off.  Could be an opportunity to see what they are made of.  It couldn't hurt to bring in more competition at WR.  There really isn't a downside to bring them in and cutting someone who really has a limited chance.
