They aren't my typical favorite style of music, but for some reason I can't get that "Radioactive" song out of my head the past few days.

Musically, it isn't the least bit technical really, but there's just something catchy as hell about it. Maybe it is the heavy bass drum and poppy snare, and the atmospheric guitar riff or something... I dunno...

Watched the video on demand last night for the first time, and I liked the concept...

 

Imma keep a good watch on these guys, I think... I know it's old by now, but cool with me ...

I was hooked on that video for awhile (loved that LDP was in it) but am totally burned out on the song now. I tried to get into some other stuff but it just doesn't do it for me like that song did. "Demons" is growing on me but for the most part their stuff just doesn't resonate with me. They are really taking off and are one of the hottest things going right now.

I think that is one of the things that pulls me towards them. I've always been a fan of versatility. I mean, BTBAM can go from bluegrass to straight death metal all in the same song.

 Agreed. I can't get a read on them.  Just when I think I have them pegged down, I'm really digging Radioactive and Demons, and then they go and make I'm On Top of the World.

I was like, WTF? Are these the same guys? It's like they are trying to win a contract with Royal Caribbean.  Seriously, I hear this song and I keep waiting for a voice-over to say, "Com to de Island ah Jamaica! Escape to Paradise, mon!"

 

My wife heard 'On top of the World' when they were live on GMA a few weeks ago and said it sounds like the song from "Little Mermaid"... it does.
