It's just for tonight, they will probably rotate guys (like coaches did in elementary school sports) until the team votes for the permanent captains for this year.

I honestly have no idea. I've never heard about it. It could be like someone else said, and they're just rotating the guys. It could also be that they're seeing how Cam reacts to the situation and if he will be a captain.

I could be mistaken, but I've always thought the captains in the pre-season were the captains from the previous year until new captains were selected.
