Soccer '13-'14 season

Real cruised in UEFA play yet again. Definitely secured their spot in the final eight, but it will be interesting to see how their back line holds up once the competition ramps up. Also, can the big three continue their blistering form through the tournament? Either way, they're looking like the best chance Europe has to knock off Bayern Munich...

I think everyone expected them to win, but a 6-1 thrashing in Germany is pretty amazing. Especially with Schalke's league form coming into the match. They are definitely the best chance to beat Bayern this year. Let's hope the draws are favorable and we can put the match up off until the end.

Imagine if y'all had Suarez instead of Benzema. I'll keep imagining what its like to be a fan of a team that buys whoever they want.

Benz has been playing really well this year, but yes if we had Suarez it would be over....

Bale's form has been tremendous since coming back, really looks to be settling in at Madrid. Had an absolute scorcher on Saturday....

And then followed it up yesterday with this little trick...

Really good to see him finally getting confidence. Now just hope he can stay healthy the rest of the season...

Don't agree with that call in the Arsenal match.

Wenger cheap ass is coming back to bite him.  Everyone yelled to get a striker in January but no, he have faith and Giroud... now Arsenal won't win poo again...  I really hope he gets canned.  If by any chance Arsenal finishes 5th, I think Wenger is done.

I don't see them finishing outside of the top 4. I still think all of the top 4 will drop points here and there and beat up on each other. They will jostle for positioning in the table, but I think they will all be in the top 4 at year's end.

Arsenal is missing a striker... they having a really hard time scoring goals...  if Arsene was not such a stingy ass, Arsenal would probably still be #1.

I think the lack of a truly talented striker is going to prevent them from being title contenders this season, but I still think Arsenal's midfield is talented enough to keep them in the top 4. I still think the table will be:

1. City

2. Chelsea

3. Liverpool/Arsenal

4. Liverpool/Arsenal.

Don't tease me bro....

1. Man City

2. Chealsea

3. Tottenham

4. Liverpool

5. Arsenal

I can dream, right? (In no way do I think this would actually happen, but it's fun to give Arsen fits sometimes, lol)

    • Oh yeah, then there's this. Levis to miss season due to shoulder surgery. The Titans were backed into a corner.  They had the #1 pick they could use on a QB, versus taking stab in a crappy FA QB market while dealing with an ineffective incumbent QB with a bum shoulder needing to be medically repaired. What choice did they really have? Most Big Boards of course had Ward the QB1, but few had him prospect #1. Position group#1 and overall#1 don't always align, even at the QB position.
    • Sometimes the most simple answer is the best one.  Anybody that follows the draft knew this was a rough class for QBs.  The media tried like heck to prop up Sanders just to make it interesting.  In most QB classes, Ward would not have gone #1 overall. You know that and I know that.
    • Truly amazing insight here. LOL  These draft class vs. draft class comparisons just aren't relevant. It really doesn't matter how prospects stack up vs. other draft classes.  A lot of people are doing the same thing with T-Mac. Oh, he would've been the 4th or 5th best WR in this class or that class. Okay, great. We're still sitting on the clock at #8 and we have to make a pick or take a trade offer. Drafting a player from another draft class isn't an option so who cares? Everyone kinda accepted going into this draft that it was weak at the top but pretty strong in depth. Now we get to see how it plays out on the field. Plenty of draft projections prove incorrect.
