Reggie williams may havve amputation

Saw this about Reggie Williams, former LB for the  Bengals. After 24 surgeries, his knee is so mangled and disfigured his DR.s say he will eventually lose his leg.  Insurance doesn't cover his preexisting condition but he has done well after football as a VP of Disney.  This screams to the fact that there needs to be some level of disability benefits for retired players.

Here's the link (the pic of his knee is pretty graphic):

SAD, at least the owner of the Bengals should help pay for his treatment if not the 10 Billion a year NFL....  These guys need to be taken care of....

If I was a current player on the Bengals, I wouldnt want to play for that team anymore, I would hit the road as soon as my contract is up.

    • Just such a sad state of affairs that it's difficult to get rid of season tickets... Not a local but if I was I'd have absolutely loved to have season tickets during some of the good years. If I moved there tomorrow I wouldn't even remotely consider PSLs now with what Tepper has done with the team. Would go to a game here or there for cheap resale tickets with low expectations, but certainly not shell out for a full season + PSL cost. Plenty of teams out there too where people would kill to have a chance for season tickets but the waitlists are so damn long.   Curious, can you keep the PSL but turn down the tickets for a season?
    • Yes…exactly right ….im there with you.  I always knew the risks with pro sports but the tale of the tape was what, five or was it six, draft classes…topped off with the smallest nfl qb, not named Doug Flutie.  I will always follow the Panthers but this time, nfl Sunday ticket, on my tv, with an Old Fashioned by my side…..and the ability to change the channel… smile i hope he does well for the fans and the franchise…if not well, hope the selection in 2026 is better.
    • Imagine if you will;, Cam vs Bryce in the same draft, and Tepper and Fitterer are putting their heads together...   as if there is anything to discuss.
