Tommy Morrison dead at 44

He starred in Rocky V and was a heavyweight champ IRL.

 

He also was on the receiving end of one of the most brutal knockouts in boxing history courtesy of Ray Mercer.

I'm not familiar with him, but I've been seeing stuff about his passing all day.  RIP.

48-3-1.  He was no slouch.  Dude beat Foreman.  The old fat Foreman but still.

Tested positive for hiv and left boxing. Came back years later and tested negative. Think he was the grandson or nephew of john wayne.

Dude beat Razor Ruddock, Carl "The Truth" Williams and George Foreman. And his 3 losses came against Lennox Lewis and Ray Mercer, who were both champs at the time. His only other defeat was against a relative unknown.

 

Although the official cause of death has not been released, his wife said it was Miller Fisher Syndrome/Guillain Barre Syndrome.
