R QB's

All those QBs that keep getting talked about, Wilson, Kap, RG3, Luck, etc are better than Cam. Its sad for us Panthers fans but its true. Our coaches suck, players suck, play calling sucks, refs suck, ownership sucks, and luck sucks.

This. I've been saying that since last season.

know the rules better, it's not as bad as you think.

I know the rules but its was still ticky tacky. Really the first time Smith was ran out he could not have came back in sooner the second time was on him but they still fugged that up.

It was poor ST all around but they were still a lot of missed and bad calls in this game.

I'm not talking about our receivers, and even then...they are still scrubs.  Outside of Steve Smith and the occasional Brandon Lafell soft spot, there is nothing there.  I mean for god's sake, Armanti Edwards is still a player on this team.

I wasn't talking about your receivers, either. I was talking about OUR receivers, the Seahawks'. You can't handicap your team properly if you're not objective. We have a very good stable of receivers, but because the vast majority of fans and analysts focus on pure #'s, yards catches, they don't actually look at the metrics.

The Seahawks' receivers have excellent yards per play, YAC, excellent catch per target, etc. They are very good, but get fewer balls because it's a run first team and Wilson spreads it around very, very well.

Last add: I just looked at the stat line and thought I was seeing things. This was such a messy game, such a tough battle vs. your D line, I'm not sure I saw the same game they played! I would have totally expected the two QB stat lines to be reversed.

R. Wilson 25/33 320 9.7 1 0 2-20 115.7

C. Newton 16/23 125 5.4 1 0 1-6 97.2

God, it seemed like Wilson did nothing but scramble and toss the ball when he had a chance. I have no idea how that became a 300 yd game!

And with Newton, it seemed he could do no wrong most of the game. He did, iirc, miss two inexplicably, but the rest was pretty good. Totally amazed when I saw his yards at 125! 250, sure, on a dink-and-dunk day, but 125? Freaked me out.

Does anyone else feel like they watched this game in the Twilight Zone?

Both had good ratings, however, with Cam at 97 or something like that.

Speaking of Cam, I saw some posts saying Cam sucks, but that's obviously not true. He stayed poised in a tough, frustrating game with a poor receiving corps. The kid can toss the rock. Give him a little O line and at least one more receiver - and maybe a new coaching staff - and he'll be awesome.

Don't overreact. He's a keeper.

    • I find it funny those who continue to hate on Bryce based on his rookie year when he had zero weapons or offensive line have a problem with those of us projecting his career from the 8-9 games where he played like a top 10 QB and made more big time throws during that period than any other QB.  The stats may bot have been there in terms of yards or TD passes but that’s coming as the roster improves. For those who think physical traits can overcome roster deficiencies we all witnessed how Mahomes looked under pressure that Bryce faced for most of his rookie year, we saw what happened with Stroud in similar circumstances.  None of us were creating posts proclaiming Bryce as the next Brady but we can’t just sit idly while thread after thread is created continuing with the  anti Bryce tropes  instead of supporting him and just letting him continue to develop.
    • To me Bryce's ceiling is his backup, Andy Dalton, in his prime.  Sure, he may get us some winning seasons and may even get us to the playoffs on occasion, but with an early exit.  To me he doesn't have what it takes to be elite and it takes an elite QB to consistently get deep into the playoffs.  He's not Jackson, he's not Mahomes and he's not even Allen.  In an organization like Philly, he possibly could have what it takes to make a deep run, but let's face it...Philly is well oiled machine and and we are a GMC Grimlin.
    • If he was he would still be in the league.... Cam never learned to play QB without relying on his athletism and rocket arm.
