I think we'll be ok

I guess most of you didn't play any type of organized football growing up. You act like all 60 plays in a game are completely scripted and designed to be perfectly balanced. Of course there are specific plays we wish we could have back but all in all, we mostly out-played (or at least played equal to) a team that 50% of experts picked to represent the NFC in the super bowl.

What no one seems to realize is that teams customize their gameplan to match the situation. Yes we played a very conservative game, but had DWill not fumbled and we won 15-12, we would all be saying how much we love Shula for not getting "cute" and calling risky plays that could have cost us. We had 2 drives completely stopped due to Olsen drops and of course the fumble. Then add the 2 drives that ended at 4th and inches, and thats 5 extra drives we basically "left on the field."

One of those 4th and inches was due to an abysmal spot by the refs (who were extra stupid today.)

It's not just this one game! It's been this way every game since 2011 opener! Can't keep making excuses!

Right now we are stuck under lousy leadership philosophy! We said they were young and will get better......they will not! Rivera is a stubborn mule and this game just showed we are in Part 3 of this losing culture

The first bolded passage I agree with. I felt we outplayed the Seahawks most of the game. However, it can't be "mostly outplayed". We can't play great for three quarters and then fold, as the Panthers under Rivera have tended to do.

As to the second bolded part, I give Shula full credit for sticking with traditional running plays except for 2-4 read option plays and the odd quarterback dive. But I still think he didn't use Cam enough, and that includes the drops that we saw. Hopefully Shula will get better at balancing the run and pass, but IMO we ran too much today, even fully allowing for the Seahawks' pass defense.

Yes you could say we "ran to much", but if DWill doesn't fumble, we win that game 8/10 times. Also, that DWill fumble WAS on a fake-option-type play

    • I mean the whole defense was trash, he was at least trying. Besides if you put a all-pro among 10 PSers, that all-world will look human. It's very hard to judge very bad units and find the best players among them. Horn and Mjack played well too, there was 0 pass rush and -1777784 run defense.
    • I was looking back and seen Evan Neal has made the switch to OG after awful years at OT.......I wanted him over Icky for his tricep alone..... I was 100% stroud too, I was super pissed about his record setting and playoff leading start......I had arich vastly over the midget BY too. But right now, BY is about the only one on the up&up. The Texans used lots of prime draft capital to help Stroud.  It's still not ready. But if you're honestly about past drafts, these GMs are not alone in making mistakes.  I still feel they should stayed put and allowed Carter to fall in their lap, but best I know Tepper had the worst rage about landing a QB for the past 5 years. The deal is with the correct coaching staff, Baker or darnold would still be here....Baker has signed 3 years for 100 million, which is a great NFL QB contract. Tepper hiring rhule and his shitty Baylor/temple staff was a massive setback given rhule was in control too. Then panic set in an d fitteerererererer had to make a winner and find a QB. Ugh.....I hope they are back...
    • Also maybe the biggest part is his fromer college buddy, Lord Lamar told the GM to sign him. It was done nearly right after and guess who was the first person Alexander met at ravens stadium??
