I liked the offense and I'm confident moving forward.

Awesomeness!!

I agree. The offense was sufficient to win the game. Olsen's drops and Williams' fumble really cost us. The one thing I'd like to see more is dump offs and screens to Tolbert. He is much better in space than he is getting hand offs from the fullback position.

I respectfully disagree. You can not win in this league only scoring one touchdown. I wonder when the last team won with only 7 points? I agree with you getting the football to our rbs in space would be great.

To be fair the Seahawks only put up once touchdown as well. It was just that type of game. Whoever made the most mistakes was going to lose.

It was like watching a Fox/Henning game if Henning had a mild stroke on the way to the stadium but decided to stick it out for the team.

Words cannot describe how happy I'm going to be once we get rid of this assclown at the end of the season.

Of course we would like to score 555455485742 points every game but thats not going to happen. It was a defensive struggle and even with that being the case I liked what we did. We were in position to win. Thats all you can really ask for. Our players (Dwill) didn't execute, The gameplan was fine though.

who is asking for something outrageous like that absurd number you threw out there for dramatic effect?

asking for your team to score more than 12 points shouldn't be too much to ask and it absolutely should have and could have happened. the game plan wasn't fine because we didn't score more. we weren't put in position to put more points on the board. we shouldn't have been put into a situation where one fumble from dwill costs us the game. we should have gotten closer more often. we should have been in better position to put points on the board. the offense didn't do it's job and if they accomplished pretty close to what they were expecting, they should have expected more and had a better plan that didn't involve being put in scoring position just twice.

asking for an nfl offense to put up more than 12 points is not unreasonable.

I think many here are living in dreamland when they say we would have won that game if Williams had not fumbled.

The score would have been 14-12 if we converted the TD and ExP.

Look at what happened in reality. 5 minutes left, Seattle with the ball on their on 8 yrd line. We disparately needed the ball back. Seattle, even with the lead, systematically took the ball down the field and could have scored a field goal or TD on that last drive if they had needed to..

No way Dwill's fumble lost that game. Playing close to the vest lost that game.

That fumble was a punch in the gut and changed momentum. A score would have brought our defense back on the field with a different attitude.

The trouble is we were not in a position to win as demonstrated by that last drive of Seattle.

With this kind of an O we will continue to keep our opponents in the game till they wear our D into submission.

But they had two Fg's which means they had the ball in scoring position 3 times to our 1. I get what you are saying and have seen us play much worse and score more and I give credit to their defense.I just think we could have been more creative ie. knowing they are thin at the DL position but not exploiting it with a hurry up offense. In other words we did OK with what we were doing but what we were doing was basicly to conservitive to win in this league.

I usually enjoy ur posts, but i couldn't disagree with u more on this. Of course we would LIKE to score 42 points per game, but thats not what this game dictated. Every game has its own rhythm and pacing. We played to the level of our opponent (a GREAT opponent mind u), and shot ourselves in the foot. We don't have to score 5 TDs per week to win. We have to score 1 more point then the other team, and even with all our problems, we were an un-lucky fumble away from that happening. You think the 49ers and their #1 defense is poo-ing themselves cuz they gave up almost 30 points. Hell, they gave up 3 more TDs then we did. Every game has its own pace, uve never seen a game where the offense is in hurry up, spread, zone reads, scores 53 points, and the defense is completely shut down and has 6 turnovers, and they win 53-3. That doesnt happen. A tone is set and both teams follow it. They win 34-28 vs the packers, and are in a 13-13 overtime battle vs the Cardinals.

Am i saying we are as good as the 49ers? Hell no. But i think u fail to realize every game has a pace to it and you cant just look at one number and make all assumptions and base the future of this team on one score from one team on one game.

But at that point and with that much time we still had a chance to get the ball back for another push.

The game was not out of hand and the O had just had a promising drive. Our D was just defeated at that point trying to protect a frigging close game, while our O was relaxing with their first and only score of the season tucked away under their belt.
