The Disconnection Between The Coaching Staff & Players

All I hear every week is "We have to execute" "We just didn't execute" "The coaches called the plays, we just didnt execute

What I really hear is the coaches... we don't call bad plays, it's just the players execute them right or wrong. Everybody helps each other succeed. You think calling a shotgun pass on 3rd and 2 that didn't work is a good call, but the players just failed to execute? In press conferences Cam shouldn't be making comments like that's something you have to ask the coaches, I don't do that I do just this. There is no I and them. It's us, we. Cam should have a say so on what's called on the field, what play to run next. Cam should have a say so on what's gameplanned against the next opponent

Where's the blitzes that we seen against Baltimore in the preseason. We should have blitzed heavy on a rookie QB. It's the DL job only to get after the QB? No, LB and DB can go after the QB too. It's the DB's to just drop in coverage? Occasionally even Hardy can drop back. Rivera expects too much from his players. I'm not saying Cam should go Willie Beamen on this team but something has to change cause it shows clearly on gameday against opponents

This staff has neutered Cam.  Gone is that guy who was mad as hell that he threw for 400 yards and still lost.  Losing is acceptable in Carolina and Cam Newton is starting to accept that too.

You are being ridiculous. How is cam accepting losing? Please explain that with logic or get the fug out of here. fug

Fun fact of the day: No team in the past five years that has started 0-2 has made the playoffs.

News flash to our guys, our post season hopes are over so let's start fugging playing like our season is over before there's only 6 games left!!

Be lucky to win 3 games..

That's my impression.  The franchise wants him toting the company line and that's what he's doing.  No way he would openly go along with time after time shelving the offense late in close games hoping the defense wouldn't fug up.

That's not accepting losing. It's being professional. Are you new to the media coverage of cam and the panthers? They tore apart cam last year because he couldn't stop pouting after losses. If he calls out the coaching for throwing away the offense late in games then the media would just say he is shifting responsibility. The panther players don't need the added headache of the media talking about players and coaches are infighting in carolina. It would just make this mess even bigger.

As I said there is a difference between being professional and what the hell ever you mean by accepting losing. Any criticisms the players have about the coaches should not be said to the media. There really is no point to letting them know anything about it.

Like I said, it's just my impression.  What exactly gives you the impression otherwise?

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
