Jerry Richardson is a great owner.

cut him slack? what about people who ALSO have lost loved ones or are barely scrapping by YET buy insane amounts of stuff for this detached Cro Magnon who looks at his bank statements more than the fans responses.

who here gets the luxury of running to the govt to blackmail ask for funding and does?

im tired of sports owners who only source of income is a sports team because they end up running it just to pad their pockets with ZERO and I mean mofo ZERO concern about winning.

he will do his mediocre best JUST to produce enough earnings to keep his cronies happy.

im tired of this garbage. im tired of the lowered expectations. im tired of treating the stadium like it's some country Methodist church.

im tired of a bad product year after year.

what a stupid post. winning has a direct relationship with business. you win big and more people wanna buy your tickets which puts a bigger demand and a higher value on those tickets. not only that, but with the exception of the cowboys and raiders, winning and revenue have a direct relationship as well. its no accident that in any city you go to every sports store will have packers, 49ers, steelers, and patriots gear. you might stop there and say "well those are the biggest fan bases" to which i reply "WHY are they the biggest fan bases?" hint, multiple super bowl wins plays a big part

Jerry Richardson has sold every single ticket to every single game in franchise history. Please explain how "winning" will allow him to sell more than 100% of his tickets.

If Jerry Richardson hadn't tanked in '10 for the CBA he wouldn't have gotten Cam Newton. Do you have any idea how much money he has pocketed from Cam Newton merchandise and apparel? Please explain how he would've made more money in merchandise sales by keeping all those old players and winning 4-6 more games and missing out on #1.

Winning on the field.....is more important to some owners than others. That includes all professional sports.

Some put a greater emphasis on it because making money just isn't enough for them. I don't think that can be argued.

I am a fan.....so I don't really care about JR's pie chart. That is for his investors to care about. From a fans perspective.... JR hasn't gotten it done. So no, he isn't the best owner in the NFL.

This. Not every owner cares only about money. And there are worse owners in sports than JR, for sure. But, with that said, I've really questioned JR's motives for owning the team the past 3-4 years.

Wut?

Despite the handful of winning seasons, the Panthers have sold out all but two of the their 171 exhibition, regular-season and playoff games in franchise history

we sell out every game before the season even starts due to PSLs. youre forgetting to account for sponsorship revenue (which has been declining) and forgetting that were the 18th aka bottom half most valuable franchise. so obviously hes not doing as good as you give him credit for

Ranked above NO and ATL, teams that have been winning for several years. Winning really boosted their value, huh?

Dallas is #1, and they've won one playoff game in nearly 20 years.
