Since some are turning on Cam I have 4 question for you.

I am just curious how many of you will switch to another team WHEN (not if) the Panthers end up moving on from the Cam experiment and draft a real QB.

Yes because QB just grow on trees and we will get another QB that can produce a 30 TD avg. per year.

When they stick with Cam will you leave??

this is coming from the guy who said Cam had plenty of weapons last year during draft time. oh my how things have changed

I guess I have to keep admitting I was wrong over and over again for you right??

If you had been here during TC you would have notice I was changing when they were Talking up Armanti.

Why is this the only thing you are worried about.

Our franchise is a mess, we have a lame duck head coach. All MadHatter is worried about is Cam Newton leaving. Gee, wonder why?

Next year...DG will concentrate on the offense and have a new coaching staff. We need to give Cam an opportunity to play with some talent around him and a staff with a clue how to use him.If he doesn't improve then you will have your answer. You don't buy a new vette and put four spare tires on and expect performance. He needs alot of work no doubt..but maybe he will succeed in the long run.

Peyton Manning won 10 games each year for 10 years with no LT after Glenn retired. Even after he lost 88, they continued to win 10 games a year with a terrible defense.

The Bears won 10 games last year with a terrible offensive line and 1 legit WR.

This is not to say that Cam is to blame, but it is also not to say that he is free from it.   The pitcher in baseball gets the loss even if the players behind him get 2 hits and commit 4 errors.  The reason?  He had the ball at the beginning of every pitch and he could have prevented a loss if he himself did not make his share of mistakes too.

Well if your example is going to be the possibly the Greatest NFL QB of all time.....how can we argue?

Cam is not free from blame, but he's not getting help from Smitty anymore, no Shockey, and an aging and oft injured #1 RBs. Olsen is your #1 receiver.

Gman better load up on Offensive players next year.

Don't get me wrong....we have many more issues than just QB.

OL is a mess.....WR needs an infusion....and we need to get out from under a few more contracts.

I am just not sold on Cam long term.  He is an incredible athlete.  But, he is still making the same mental mistakes in his 3rd season.  This is not to say that he can't and won't improve....just that I am sold on the fact that he will.

But, my opinion is just that....an opinion.  I could be (and hope that I am) wrong.  Only time will tell.

Giving up on his kind of talent without allowing him an opportunity with a proper coaching staff would be a horribly disastrous decision. No more rejects who have been passed over, fired everywhere else they've been, had little to no success, or never even coached before.

I see his talents as physical (big, strong, etc) and his weaknesses being mental (reading defenses, quick decision making, etc).  The problem is that his weaknesses are the most important aspects of a successful QB.

I hope I am wrong, but I just don't think Cam will develop into an elite QB.

Could you provide some proof that the man cannot read defenses, other than just making silly statements as if they were facts?

    • If Reich or Fitterer were still around I think the need to extend Young because of what he cost would be stronger.  And yeah Morgan was Fit's right hand when the call was made but there an equal chance that Dan will see it as a chance to move on from Fit and shake off that stink. Holding out some hope that 3 years and clear eyes will allow for an honest appraisal that Young just aint the guy
    • As far as elite/elevate talent QB’s It’s Allen Mahomes Jackson and Burrow that’s it.  Then we have tiers and those can be debated all day Dak is a good QB but I know this board would want him out of Charlotte if he was the QB here. 2 playoff wins in 10 years. Justin Herbert no playoff wins. Threw 4 interceptions in last years playoff game. 23 TD passes last year. 20 the year below and 25 the year before that. This board loves stats without context and these stats aren’t saying they’re much above complimentary  Kyler Murray isn’t good. I’m not sure how he made this list.  Caleb Williams, Trevor Lawrence both benefiting from some real good offensive coaches right now. They’re both complimentary pieces until proven otherwise  I like Jordan Love. Always have. I wanted to draft him but he isn’t a superstar.  CJ Stroud hasn’t been much better than Bryce after his rookie season. After that Bears game year 2 his numbers very similar to Bryce I will say I think Drake Maye is well on his way to becoming the next top tier QB if I had to pick one from this entire list. I’d also say Baker Mayfield is a damn good QB and I’d take him over most of those guys not in the elite category  Now if you want to debate tools and which QB’s possess tools to put them in higher tiers that’s a completely different discussion. Most QB’s on your main list all have those physical tools that will keep you thinking he’ll become the next top tier QB. They’ll sprinkle in a “wow” play or two a game. Bryce will never look that way. Young’s game at its peak will physically always look different and I think that’s where most people struggle when it comes to seeing how Young’s can be successful in the league  All QB’s need a team around them. I think the Bills are failing Josh Allen much like the Panthers did Cam. Beane and McDermott using same blueprint with Bills team. Josh Allen hasn’t had much in terms of WR’s and it’s ultimately costing them when it matters the most
