Since some are turning on Cam I have 4 question for you.

Once again comparing Cam to Manning is a invalid argument from the start, He's not that type of qb he's a big ben type of guy who's ceiling is still up there.

Even the great Peyton manning had all that talent and choked come playoff time until 06 when he finally got past brady, And Peyton is still in his prime IMHO dude is set to break his own records at this pace. Problem is you guys always label anyone who defends cam as someone who can't see his flaw, well we do we just don't overblow them like most you guys on this forum......at least give cam one of these and you will see a greater improvement

1.O Line

2.A competent OC with a good qb coach

3.A true #2 or #1 WR(excludes smith because you never know when he'll hang it up)

4.A coach who doesn't play favorites and puts the players who give us the BEST chance to win on the field

Guarantee one of these and Cam will look like the HOF we all predict after season 1

I see flashes with Cam but I have to be honest I have never really been a fan. I just haven't seen "it" when I have seen him play. With 2 minutes left in a game, Cam wouldn't be a qb I would want in a no huddle offense. I don't have faith in him to lead a 4th quarter comeback. He may be a good NFL qb and put up a lot of stats, but I don't think he could ever lead a team to a Super Bowl victory. My opinion, flame away.

I don't know how many games he's lost by himself. I don't have nfl ticket and rarely get to watch a panthers game.

Crazy thought here. But maybe you should actually, you know, watch a few Panthers games before making such statements?

I'm sure most of you are in on the secret that the league's rules are designed for elite QBS to take advantage of the limitations placed on contact by defenses.  This allows for the smartest, most physically gifted QBs to score most weeks at will.  Cam's shortcoming is his intelligence.  Maturity to a lesser degree.  This is his year to prove his ability to progress reading defenses, making correct audibles, etc.  It is painfully evident that growth has been limited at best.

Ahhhhhhhhh. The old "intelligence" knock we keep hearing about. Or is that code for something else entirely? Seems to be.

I have watched a few panthers games and I'll still make that statement.

And you don't know what the fug you're talking about so why are you even in this topic???

As soon as you typed "I don't watch a lot of panther Games" it made every thing you say about the panthers Full of poo and pretty much worthless.

Your opinion is dick so you can keep it.

honestly everyone has a right to their opinion ,and to share it however they wish..

but if you don't actually watch Cam play, you're going to have a very, very different view of him than if you watch him play and listen to the crazy commentary out there on him.

from listening to the media, Cam has been abysmal this year and has been unable to do anything.  But that's not true... at all.  The offense hasn't been good, yet Cam had one of his best seasons going until Arizona took advantage of the fact that Shula can't figure out how to adjust anything in game.  And yes, Cam sucked too in the second half, and deserves some of the blame for that loss.  And that's with us seemingly avoiding having him run...

But this idea that he's washed up, the "next Freeman," worse than Geno smith, needs to be traded to the Browns, or is too stupid to read an NFL defense?  Bullshit, all of it.

    • If Reich or Fitterer were still around I think the need to extend Young because of what he cost would be stronger.  And yeah Morgan was Fit's right hand when the call was made but there an equal chance that Dan will see it as a chance to move on from Fit and shake off that stink. Holding out some hope that 3 years and clear eyes will allow for an honest appraisal that Young just aint the guy
    • As far as elite/elevate talent QB’s It’s Allen Mahomes Jackson and Burrow that’s it.  Then we have tiers and those can be debated all day Dak is a good QB but I know this board would want him out of Charlotte if he was the QB here. 2 playoff wins in 10 years. Justin Herbert no playoff wins. Threw 4 interceptions in last years playoff game. 23 TD passes last year. 20 the year below and 25 the year before that. This board loves stats without context and these stats aren’t saying they’re much above complimentary  Kyler Murray isn’t good. I’m not sure how he made this list.  Caleb Williams, Trevor Lawrence both benefiting from some real good offensive coaches right now. They’re both complimentary pieces until proven otherwise  I like Jordan Love. Always have. I wanted to draft him but he isn’t a superstar.  CJ Stroud hasn’t been much better than Bryce after his rookie season. After that Bears game year 2 his numbers very similar to Bryce I will say I think Drake Maye is well on his way to becoming the next top tier QB if I had to pick one from this entire list. I’d also say Baker Mayfield is a damn good QB and I’d take him over most of those guys not in the elite category  Now if you want to debate tools and which QB’s possess tools to put them in higher tiers that’s a completely different discussion. Most QB’s on your main list all have those physical tools that will keep you thinking he’ll become the next top tier QB. They’ll sprinkle in a “wow” play or two a game. Bryce will never look that way. Young’s game at its peak will physically always look different and I think that’s where most people struggle when it comes to seeing how Young’s can be successful in the league  All QB’s need a team around them. I think the Bills are failing Josh Allen much like the Panthers did Cam. Beane and McDermott using same blueprint with Bills team. Josh Allen hasn’t had much in terms of WR’s and it’s ultimately costing them when it matters the most
