Cant believe im saying this but game ball goes to Rivera.

This doesnt require my usual long winded write ups. 2/2 fourth down conversions, finally understands its better to defer after winning the coin toss and we get the ball at the half. It looks as though Rivera MIGHT hace just turned the corner.

BTW, this is in no way to discredit Cam's spectacular play whatsoever, just feel Rivera deserves this one for a change.

A coach doesn't get the game ball...don't be silly.

Should go to Cam or Mitchell (with an honorable mention to Tolbert)

Edit: With that said...I was quite impressed with Rivera as a whole and the playcalling by Shula. They coached their balls off.

Great great game....hopefully its a builder game....we can get the ball rolling now....stl which isn't bad.....but at home we should win....tampa....I know they play us hard but we should win...ATL not sure who they'll have active but could be a big win and end up 5-3....wow that would be crazy...

Two reasons why Rivera doesn't get one of my gameballs...

1) I want to see Rivera win a close, tightly contested game. The team was very well prepared, so he deserves credit for that, but I can't get too excited about the fact that we have to blow teams out or we lose.

2) Why in the bloody hell do we continue to play Fua? It is so obvious he can't play, so why do we keep putting him in there? We've got Cole and Star to play the 1 tech, do we really need a 3rd rotational person to keep them fresh?

So hats off to Ron, but not gameball worthy in my eyes.

Only big run AP had all game, Fua was in. I don't know why he is on the team at all.

    • Jack Roslovic: Only 2 other UFA, right-handed centers age 28 or under had more points (39) than him- Sam Bennett (51) and Pius Suter (46). There were 4 other centers age 33 and older who scored more: Gireaux (37), Marchand (37), Tavares (34), Granlund (33).  Unless the Canes go old, if they let Jack walk, they won't get a center who scored more.  Thoughts?
    • nope     This is why we come back every year.  Hope springs eternal
    • It's important to differentiate criticism and hate. I can't speak for that individual you quoted. But most people who have been critical of the Tepper's have been so because both of them have made it a point to put themselves front and center and in the middle of team operations and we have been largely horrific more often than not as a result. If people are making derogatory remarks about her that should be met with an appropriate response but if people are being defensive just because she's being criticized all I can say is people should get used to it. Both her and David would have been getting absolutely skewered by the media and the fans if this were a big market franchise. The Lakers are finally being sold off after years and years of public criticism of Jeannie Buss and even though I'm the furthest you could go from being a Lakers fan just about anyone you could meet who is familiar with the NBA would say the criticism was certainly valid.
