Great article that breaks down Cam against the Vikings

Replace the coach as they did in Kansas City (with a good one), and you'll see a miraculous turnaround with the Panthers, thus less scrutiny of Cam.

I'm not sure if you're killing this article, or writers in general? This writer wasn't so bad. However, I do agree, that many of them love to talk about "Cam's development" as if to say Luck, RG3, Wilson, and Kaepernick are not developing themselves, just cause their teams made the playoffs last year. The irony; you can argue Cam is clearly more developed than Kaep and RG3 (who need gimmick offenses, and/or run games to lean on), and arguably against Wilson or Luck.

Yes, it becomes a bit tedious. And it's clear many of them don't actually watch the Panthers, and/or are trying to write the story themselves, instead of telling the truth (like Cam is a more advanced pocket QB than RG3 or Kaep, and his coaching has been awful many times, blowing inexplicable games that tarnish his reputation and won/loss record).

And I don't understand what a coach change have to do with the endless scrutinizing of Cam.

Also, if you look at the class of QBs from 2011 that are actually playing, the only one who has NEVER been scrutinized but is the worst QB ever is Blaine Gabbert. Even Dalton, those in the media a endlessly finding fault with.  And his team is at the top. It's very hard to take anyone seriously when they  refuse to scruntinize the Chosen QBs but make it an art with lesser preferred QBs. I simply can't them serious.

So it's official, if any of these low level branch picking writers want any attention in regards to the Panthers, do what everyone has been doing since Cam got drafted, pick him apart. Don't pay any attention to the rest of the team and how they play NOPE! make the entire article about Cam and what he is or isn't doing right so folks on the Huddle can then watch the next 11 games looking for those so called issues.

Every week is another Writer pick Cam apart for the sheer need for attention when it comes to the Panthers. Every week it's clear no one is seriously interested in the Panthers as a team. Three seasons in and the endless scrutinizing of Cam feels like he's still being analyzed for the Draft. When does the madness ends?

And why does some of these Panthers fans believe that bypointing out or overanalyzing whatever they see Cam is doing means their pathetic team will get more wins? I simply don't get the logic behind that level of thinking.

Do any of you seriously believe the Broncos are 6-0 simply because Peyton QB mechanics are perfect? And we're talking about a 15 year Vet.  It's simply ridiculous the way some of you are so comfortable with always finding fault with Cam. Yet, never seem to want to deal with the issues of the rest of your team. It's borderline disturbing.

Good grief... please go jump off a fuging cliff.  That article wasn't a negative article about Cam by any means, instead it was noting his progress as an NFL QB.

I love Cam to death, but he's not fuging perfect.  He's great, but believe it or not at 24 years old he still has room for improvement.

Idk if he actually looked anyone off.  We all know is stares down Steve, and when it isn't open, goes to his second option.  His second option just happened to be wide the fug open because of a poor Vikings' defensive scheme.  Sorry, but it's going to take more than one play in one game to convince me that Cam is evolving.

Well apparently in SpinTk's world, when a quarterback puts up 28 points in a win, that means he is obviously not progressing.

When things are going well and Cam gets in a rhythm, he is an offensive dynamo. He stays focused and his mechanics/intangibles are spot on.

When he gets a lot of pressure and a few things go bad, he falls a part a little.

Thus is the area where his continued improvement will pay huge benefits.

Mistakes will be made on the field. The great ones are able to shrug them off and go recover.

If he improves here, it will be a fun ride for Carolina fans.

Haha.  This doesn't address the main point of the thread, which was Cam's ability to look-off safeties and other defensive backs.  It has been proven already that we can blow teams out.  Hell, the thread wasn't even about winning close games.  It was about a single ability that good quarterbacks possess.  C'mon, man, up your insult game.

So you don't think our quarterback possesses that ability?

The issue is consistency.  The debate is that particular play.  I would be more inclined to believe that's exactly what he did if he shows he can do it game in and game out.  He's improving, for sure.  But at the same time, he "locks on" more than he "looks off."

The whole "locking on" receivers thing is getting overblown. He isn't the only QB in the NFL who makes this mistake sometimes. Does he need to be more consistent? Of course he does, he's a young QB, and he's learning. But our WR's need to be more consistent too.

When your receivers are dropping wide open passes, it doesn't help your confidence.

Brandon Lafell is the definition of inconsistent. Ted Ginn has basically been our most consistent WR this year.
