I think it is partly your OC....but Bradford's yard per pass numbers have been poor I believe since he arrived in the NFL. Part of that has to be QB over OC.

Our secondary on paper says it can be exploited.....but no one is actually doing it. That is bc everything else on the field is pretty dang good.

Wilson is the only one to really do it.....and no other QB would have gotten those passes of to begin with. Wilson was harassed. Your standard Bradford type QB would have had 7-8 sacks taken.

I think it will be a close game. Rams don't give us the matchup we thrive against. Carolina generally doesn't come out with a W in close ones. We comically lose them. I think most non Panther fans see are record now and over the past few years and fail to realize in all the losses we are up. A strong team......that simply doesn't know how to finish a close game

Obviously you are entitled to that opinion about SB but it is equally as obvious you have not seen him play much, if at all.  During Sam's NFL tenure he has lacked weapons and OL play has been substandard to say the least.  I don't have the time to run down the specifics but before this season he had played with 30+ different WRs and 25+ different OL, not to mention having a new offense each of his 1st 3 years.

As our, once again, young WRs get up to speed, and I think the latter half of this year we will see some of that, Sam's ypa numbers will increase.

Your statement about "Bradford type QB...." is pure conjecture.  Ask the Texan fans how well blitzing Sam worked last week.  8 - 8 with 3 TD's when being blitzed.  A QB does not have to necessarily scramble to beat pressure, but again, I think you will be surprised at SB's mobility when needed.

Agreed, I expect a close game on Sunday as well.  Here's hoping for no injuries on either side.

Immobile wasnt a good word. What I meant was our D struggles against elusive, running QBs. We struggled against Russell Wilson, EJ Manuel and such. Bradford is mobile yes but hes not a QB you have to draw up ways to stop his running game like you would for a Russell Wilson

Agreed.

I have watched enough to know he hasn't had great weapons. There are many reasons he hasn't attacked much downfield.....but no matter the reasons it is simply something he hasn't really done much since arriving. That is all. Until he does, not sure it is fair to 100% removing him from the equation as to why he hasn't taken more shots throughout his career.

The Bradford type remark wasn't a diss.

We also didn't really blitz Wilson. You probably would have needed to of watched the Seahawk game to get it. Carolina got to Wilson.....he pulled off Houdini acts and then made big pass plays. Wilson was just special in that regards. Most starting QBs wouldn't of gotten out of those plays with non negative results. Wilson is special in that regard ...that is really what I meant.

Also, Carolina doesn't really blitz that often. Yes, we blitz but that isn't how we generate most pressure. We overall have just dominated our front four matchups. But again, it all comes down to your lack of downfield attacking taking that away.....which is why the Rams are a bad matchup for us

I did see some of the Seattle game since I am ALWAYS cheering for a seahawk loss and I agree about Wilson (as much as I hate to admit it).  I watched that little midget do exactly that to my Tarheels for 4 years.  Also, being a NC native, I have a soft spot for the Panthers...just not this weekend.  :)

No offense taken about the Bradford comments, BTW.  I guess I do get a bit defensive due to 3 years of lunacy on a "Rams Fan" board provided by the STL Post Dispatch (STL newspaper).  Some of the clowns on that site are really insane and blame Sam for every Rams loss since his arrival all because they wanted to draft Suh.

Haha consider yourself lucky that for whatever reason Bradford is under the media's radar. You cant even begin to imagine all the media hate Cam gets week after week after week by nearly everyone in the media and it gets very annoying. No offense at all to Sam Bradford but if Cam had similar numbers to Bradford's, the media would be calling Cam one of the worst QB busts in NFl history and thats not even knocking Bradford because Bradford really isnt that bad.

I actually envy you guys how despite Bradford's struggles, he is never mentioned in the media at all and flies completely under the radar.
