"Controlling our own destiny" What does it mean?

As of right now we are ranked #8 seed in the NFC. "But Dex if we're ranked #8 in the NFC isn't that good?" That is a great question my little nubcake! In short no because to get into the playoffs you need to be ranked #6 to at least receive a wildcard. "But Mr. Dex, I've seen people on the huddle saying we control our own destiny. What does this mean?" Another great question fuzzy nipples, allow me to explain. As of right now we do not control our own destiny per say. We are currently behind both the Bears and the Lions. "Well Mr. Dex how do we get that #6 seed?" Well now muffintops it's simple. We need to keep winning and they need to lose ONE game each. This would put us into the #6 seed as early as the end of this Sunday. If we beat the Bucs and the Cowboys beat the Lions while the Packers also beat the Bears the #6 spot is ours. Only then do we truly control our own destiny! "Wow! Gee thanks Mr. Dex, we at the Huddle love you!" I love you too fupapants and look forward to seeing you all in person for the first time Nov 18th for MNF!

 

TL;DR version. Beat the Bucs Thursday, root for Cowgirls and Fudgepackers this weekend and win out.
