I'm actually not overally worried about the salary cap, I mean we were 9 million over the cap this year and ended up with a better team.  Right now I believe we're 9-10 million under the cap, and with the new CBA we can opt to use that 9-10 million next year to increase the 2014 cap.  That 9-10 million dollars can sign 2-3 solid  players for that year, and if you cut/restructure Godfrey, there is even more room.

I cut Godfrey, extended about half of our pending free agents, franchised Hardy and ended up 2 million over the cap.... lol

 

looks like another offseason of bringing in guys that will play for the bare minimum

That was the first move I made, and it felt gooooooood.

 

On the flip side, seeing how fuged the Cowboys are next year is just as comforting.  Hahahahaha

Bumping because there are a couple of discussions on going about free agents and I think this should help.

I noticed on Sportrac that TD will be getting $10MM either next year or 2015. CJ goes up to $16MM, Deangelo and Stewart will account for roughly $13MM combined I think, and Smitty will be at something like $10MM too. I hope we can some how get hot and run the table for a SB victory this year, because we are going to lose some valuable pieces soon like Hardy and have to cut or restructure a ton of people. Oh yeah and Cam will go from like $5MM to at least $15MM I'm assuming.

Cam still has 2 years factoring in his 5th option. If we extend him all that hits us for atleast two years is that signing bonus. By that time the tv money will factor into the cap so hardy ginn Lafell Mikell and gross are top properties. I think we can make atleast 3/5 of those guys return.
