I was 13 when the team was accounced. At that age I did not have a favorite team. I did not like the redskin, ugly uniforms at the time....I sound like a girl on that one. I also hated anything atlanta becuase the braves where stellar back then and I got sick of hearing about them. I was a good baseball player then. Anyway I was really getting into football at that age and when we got the panthers , I knew I would root for my home team. I still long for the day that we will have generational fans and a real home field advantage. its coming but still has a long way to go.

My foundest panther memory. In 2003 I was in iraq and got my updates literally a week late. I was so pissed out to miss out on it. I nevermissed a game before that! Luckily my unit was rotated to the rear and I got a month leave  to come home just in time to watch the playoffs! My heart jumped so much during the rams game it was comparable to combat. The super bowl was amzing and devestating at the same time. I got to watch it the day before I flew back to Iraq. In 2004 I took my rage out on enemy lol.

and yes my join date is 2008.....I only talked football back then, never thought about talking online. 2008 was the first year I discovered the huddle...and I lurked for two years before posting. My first few posts were horrendous and I got ripped brutally lol

yeah, one of my first posts was ripping Mike Minter for not retiring at the end of the 2006 season, not like his knees were going to get any better in time for the next season.

One time I misread twitter and thought mike goodson guaranteed a win...actually it was a chick talking to him saying we would win....epic fail for me

I didnt used to have Directv like I do now, so I would used to spend my whole weekend (when the draft was on Sat/Sun) watching the NFL Draft online from the NFL website. Waiting for the names to be scrolled across the screen one by one at a time. Yup, that's how I watched the Panthers picked Thomas Davis.

I used to also watch all my Panthers game from a little 13' tv/vcr combo that had bad coloration. Antenna and the location sucked so most of the time I was watching it in black and white pretty much.

During the 03'-04' Playoffs games vs. Cowboys/Rams/Philly I went further in time and was watching it from my dad's early 90s wooded tv set. But I enjoyed it. I was fortunate that the SuperBowl was played on CBS and was able to catch it. Thank God!

1994, I just started watching football at the young age of 9. Living in SD, watching the Chargers get blown out in the Super Bowl to San Fran. Decided to be a day one fan of a new franchise to say I've been there since the beginning. Having family in NC, and having gone there every summer since being a wee one, the obvious choice was the Panthers over the Jags (thank god my family summer visits weren't to Jax!).

Never missed a single game, and never will.

The highs, the lows, the very highs, the lowest of the lows, through thick and thin, through Micky Mouse gloves and Pickles, this is my team and will be until I die.

When I die I want to be filleted and fed to a real panther.

I will add that I became a fan after cam joined the panthers. I live in new york and watched the giants win both of their superbowls but was never attached to them for some reason. I thought when cam joined the panthers that this would be a good time to choose a team and stick with it. That was three years ago, a long time through the ups and downs of losing seasons. I have come to really like the panthers history and spirit and all the players on the squad. Even if cam leaves in the future, I will still be a panther fan as this is my home now. I thought I should just add a different perspective.

Respect for your honesty! No shame in that answer despite what others may say. Might I suggest that you watch the Cardiac Cats documentary by NFL films regarding our '03 Super Bowl run? Just make sure you turn it off before Kasay shanks it.

For the record, I don't blame that loss on Kasay. I truly think Brady would have marched down the field regardless of the gifted field position. Much love for #4. Our D Line was virtually non-existent that game.

Spygate obviously had a hand in that as well.
