Where is our run game?

Somebody asked me to explain why Stewart gets more targets.

He doesn't. So I can't explain why Stewart get's more targets.

I guess the question would be why does Williams get more targets.

In the Newton era....he still always comes out being the preferred RB.

When both have been healthy, Stewart ultimately ends up with the most snaps.  This season likely plays out that way as well

I don't think how many yards we run for matters to most....

I think the fact we can't run unless our QB puts us on his back now that teams have figured out our run game....is a concern. Off day for Cam means no offense.

Off day for Tom Brady means no offense. Off day for Peyton Manning means no offense. Off day for Drew Brees means no offense. The fact that our QB ran for over 1400 yards and 20 tds in one full year in the SEC and has the ability to look like a 6'5 barry sanders against the best of the best on Monday night is not a concern. As i told you in the preseason the running game will not determine the fate of this team. It was the wideouts and the secondary that could kill this team. You love to take away stats. "Well if you take away Cam's rushing totals." You can't do that because he IS part of the running game. On 4th and 1 Newton is barreling through and getting the 1st down. It is Cam putting his head down and plowing through a defender to score yesterday while he did his ode to Lebron. He is a DUAL threat qb. Running and enhancing the running game is what he does. Why in the hell is that a concern? Teams are scheming to stop him from doing it and they can't.

I don't buy the injury excuse....was weak going in. All it took was a few weeks on tape for opponents to see how we were running behind it to shut it down.

We only were running in certain gaps early bc that was all we could do.....me teams take that away.

We aren't worse at LG. We aren't worse than RG.

All goes back to DG playing it safe IMO and washing his hands of this O for the season.....RR tweaked his coaching and now we are winning. Now the OL neglect looks to be costly.

I don't disagree that the o-line was weak going into the season.  Most had big concerns specifically around RG and RT, and many had some concerns with Gross having 'high mileage', and if Amini would improve in year #2.  I don't think any of us thought we would be using a converted DT as the starting RG though.

In any case, I don't think anyone would disagree that o-line (LT, RT, and RG) should be the #1 priority in 2014, followed by a very close second on WR & CB.  In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy the first winning season since 2008.

We're facing a buttload of eight and nine man fronts lately. At some point Ginn is going to have to catch one of those deep balls that hit him in the hands because teams are crowding the line of scrimmage.

This.
