Division vs Wild Card break down

Arizona gives us problems because 1. We can't run at them. They have a tough front regardless. Docket is still a man. Peterson takes out Smith the entire game. Leaving us with very few ways to move the ball. Giving them less things to focus on.

They have solid RBs and Fitz of course. Palmer is on or off. I say we could beat them if we meet again though.. I think we can beat everyteam in the NFC cept Green Bay w Rodgers.. just cant see our DBs handling that

I think Carolina is a better team, but Arizona matches up well with us because of our weakness on the right side of the O-line.

They have a very stout defensive front that is good at getting pressure and sacks, at least they did against us.

Cardinals gave had a very good defense all season. Their offense had started to find their groove lately. They are a dangerous team right now. They are very similar to the Panthers with the way they are currently playing.

I am unafraid of arizona. Sorry if we had executed better against them we could of easily been in that game and won it. You have to remember steve smith dropped a sure td and lafell dropped a 4th and 1 conversion that was in their territory. We probably would have scored on that drive as well. That's a whopping 14 points we left on the field due to bad execution. So instead of us just scoring 6 points on them, we score 20 points. The game becomes much more tighter then. That's why I'm not afraid of an arizona rematch as some people here.

I think if we just beat the Bucs and wrap up a guaranteed winning record, it will be smooth sailing from there. Even if we have a mini meltdown and god forbid the unthinkable happens like getting swept by the Saints and only splitting between the Jets/Falcons we will still be 10-6 and in the playoffs imo. Again, thats why this Tampa Bay game is huge

I dont expect you to get much love fr that statement, but you are right.

The Cardiac Cats have truthfully always traveled very well. They feed off of the energy and underdog status.

Oh the Cardiac Cats. Man, we had no business being in any of those miraculous games. Brings a boner to my heart remembering that season.

A secondary made of cast-offs and no names. A study MLB, a great Front 4. A strong run game and a gunslinger QB. Sounds kind of familiar, except we have an actual TE now, not a combo of Mangum and Wiggins. Though our roided up 03 line gave me more confidence than this injury depleted one...

I will say this. This is exactly why I cant wait for the day the playoffs get expanded. I project atleast 2 or 3 teams in the NFC will have a winning record and miss the playoffs and that is just not right. Im a a very big believer that any team with a winning record should be guaranteed a playoff spot. I cant believe we are 8-3 and dont have a wild card on lock down yet, that just shows how flawed the playoff system is.

    • Yuck.  I still kind of like Herbert but these playoff performances are rough....
    • I feel like this was the case with River and McDermott defenses as well, we just had the jimmies and the joes to overcome these deficiencies with all pro players at edge and linebacker positions.  Even then, was extremely frustrated in 2015 when we'd let team come back from 20+ pt deficits playing prevent only to barely win at the end.
    • We need to move on soon and just use Bryce as a bridge to find our next guy. I'd like to see how this offense works with Canales hand picking his own guy. Bryce holds this offense back a lot considering you draft the first pick to carry your team and be your best player. We invested heavily for Bryce and need everything to go right just to have him look like a solid game manager sometimes. When he plays well he can look decent or mid, but when he plays bad he looks like a bottom 5 qb in league (backups included). It's not worth it, especially if we need to pay him soon, which means we have to skimp all over the roster. If the defenses don't hand it to us on a silver platter Atlanta style then we struggle big time. Defenses don't respect the offense at all. With Cam we could have the worst offensive talent and I'd still think we had a shot in any game we played. If Bryce is facing a 3rd and 10 I pretty much wave the white flag and don't think we can make that first down.
