Segment coming up on espn about cam MVP status!

Recommended Posts

I just hate when they say cam has 19 tds, no he has 25 count the 6 on the ground...or cam has 11 ints and Wilson has 6 no count Wilson's 8 fumbles!! 5 of which were lost but still you have to count how many more times he fumbles compared to cam

Agreed. The stat lines should now have an all td column and all TO column. Not just the passing ones.

This will probably get lost, but reminds me of another clue to suggest that Steve Smith is indeed a prophet.

Everyone knows that following the week 1 loss to Seattle, Smitty was quoted as saying "We'll see them in January," and he may damn well be right. But does anyone remember Cam's segment on the NFL Network Top 100 players of 2011 series? Steve Smith was one of the players whose comments got used in that segment, and at the very end of it he says "I'll tell you the best player in the NFL in 3 years...Cam Newton."

In short, if Steve Smith says it, believe it.

I'd say he's a candidate right now.  Only thing holding he and Russell Wilson back is that people would argue the defenses are so strong.  ESPN will push Peyton or Brees again.  December will say a lot about this.

If we win this Sunday, Brees is out of the conversation

It's just exciting it's more of who has the best numbers then anything......but I will garuntee this....write it down, take a picture idc, cam will win an MVP in the next 3 years

there is only one MVP award you should care about............Super Bowl MVP

Peyton has 5 MVP's and only 1 is a SB MVP.

most VALUABLE player... when your talking about value, your looking for the player that gives you the most bang for your buck.  that has to be Cam, Luke, or Star... all 3 on rookie contracts making veteran plays.  Tell me a player in the NFL that gives you more value for less money than those 3.

OPY is another story entirely.  id def put manning n that list.
